I have a call into Christine Todd Whitman about the danger. As for my self I am not doing anything one way or the other, I might go to the Marshall islands and watch the native girls glow in their bikinies.

Even if it was the plant that is 40 miles from my house I would be close enough that the government would be passing out potassium iodide in my neighborhood. Some lady on Facebook was talking about drinking green tea and I thought, What could that hurt? I do like green tea.

I'm on the East coast so I'm not really worried. If I was on the West coast, I don't think I'd be too worried. It seems like crossing the Pacific is enough distance to weaken the radiation. :idunno: I'm not a scientist though. :chuckle:

I have also taken the precaution of not being a scientist. I think it a wise one.

Ask not what steps I an doing to protect my family, ask what steps my family is doing to protect me!

This does bring up certain practicle risks, though. What if a wave of radioactive zombies rise from this disaster? Do I have a enough ammo? Have I coordinated my defenses with like minded survivalists? I doubt it.

My father-in-law has a lot of guns, but then I do live in the South. That's why any zombie movie set in the South is pretty unrealistic.:plain:

Not radical enough? I thought about asking for a prostatectomy at the same time, but I did not want to seem alarmist.

The is an advertisement on a local radio urging "Women, take control of your breasts!" I wonder what their breasts are up to?
I think it best to leave well enough alone.

I had a woman or two opt for bilateral mastectomies when the testing for the breast cancer gene really got off the ground. I never quite decided how I felt about that.

During the '50s in Las Vegas when they were conducting atomic (bomb) testing, the hotels and casinos sold tickets and special hats and sunglasses (along with souvenir martini glasses) for guests who wanted to watch.

Perhaps there's some business that can be done.....

Scientists Project Path of Radiation Plume

A United Nations forecast of the possible movement of the radioactive plume coming from crippled Japanese reactors shows it churning across the Pacific, and touching the Aleutian Islands on Thursday before hitting Southern California late Friday.

Does this concern you? Why, or why not?
It doesn't. MSM is trying to foist an hysterical disaster scene on the public. Shameful, overblown, and reeks with blatant pandering.

That's the only thing which irritates me about my currently favorite show (if it ever starts the new season) Walking Dead. They were all fussing about a few guns like they were really scarce or something. Excuse me? This is supposed to be Georgia here....where all da gats?!?! :squint:

After careful consideration I went and stole one of them lead vests the Dentist tosses on you before an x-ray. It's kind of heavy so I really can't hold it up all the time. That's why it's good to be a family man; the wife & kids take turns holding it up to shield me. :plain:

The Sky is Falling exclaimed The Boy who cried Wolf.

I can still recall the spike in low-altitude opening parachute sales in the days following Nine Eleven.

...and how long did it take for the Russians to extinguish Chernobyl?
