The power of God is the preaching of the cross!

1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

That's the gospel of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV), the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth (Romans 1:16-17 KJV.

You deny the power and Him by your so called works!

2 Timothy 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

We have to go to Jesus for the forgiveness of sins. We get forgiveness of sins by confessing and repenting of them.

Jesus forgave people before the cross, when he walked the earth, and while on the cross, and after the cross.

What verses are you referring to?

LA

The Jews were totally committed to the law and the working of the law.

The intent of the law was good however the law proved to be a curse. No one was able to uphold the law to the required standard.

The Spirit that was promised by God to Abraham and his seed was liberation from the law and the workings of the law for Jewish people. It was to be the end of the law for those who embraced the promised Spirit which is actually Jesus in His Spirit body.

Hebrews 9:22 King James Bible
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

The above verse defined the unrelenting and all consuming belief of the Jews.

Jesus, the son of man, was given by God to die (according to the beliefs and terms of the Jews) as the final blood sacrifice for all their past sins. Jesus did this, on the cross.

I was never a Jew and certainly never believe in and/or practice blood sacrifices. Jesus had no reason to die for me and billions others and he did not die for me and billions others. In fact in many other parts of the world, Jesus, both as the son of man (physical) and as the Son of God (Spirit) would have been absolutely revered and given the highest possible seat in their material society and eternal spiritual lives.

In fact many such people/places have done that all the same. They are not called Christians. However God's kingdom of heaven has long been taken away from the Jews and others who simply perceive themselves to be Christians and given to these other nations.

After Jesus sacrificial death, the Jews were supposed to embrace a new approach to God's righteousness. This was without the law and without blood sacrifice etc. This was rooted in being led by the promised Spirit of Jesus. This required each Jew to cease being Jews (followers of the Mosaic system) and become Christians.

Christians are people who have God given liberty freedom and justification to transgress the law and get no sin but instead be glorified by God because they are led by the Spirit of Jesus

It did not quite works out, as planed for the Jews. Under their free will the Jews remained a wicked and adulterous nation who rejected the Spirit of Jesus. They continued to delight in the physicality of life and therefore needing physical signs for every thing. They recognized only the son of man (physical) side of Jesus as a prophet, at best.

Their ideas and beliefs are now also the anchor of traditional Christianity, which is not Christianity at all, but simply a re-hatched Old Mosaic 'Old Jewish' system.

It is God who granted the liberty. It is enabled by the Lord Jesus Christ, operating in and through only His Spirit body.

There is no forgiveness of sin for Christians. Christians cannot and do not get sin.

One has God given freedom, liberty and justification to transgress all manner of social, moral and religious ideals and laws (including the Ten Commandments) and not get sin but instead be glorified by God. However this is possible only when one is led into one's works by precisely what the Spirit of Jesus has in mind for one to know, pray for, say and do as discerned through one's own heart or spirit. This is the Christian way of life.

The idea of forgiveness of sin does not arise. Therefore the idea of confession and or repenting of sin is irrelevant. One simply does not get sin when one is led into one's works in the above manner. Even if and when a Christian does the things that were deemed sinful by the Ten Commandments he or she gets absolutely no sin. Others might get sin however Christians get no sin. This is the gift that one has for being 'in Christ'.

The idea of confession of sin arose and was implement by churches who supported and were part of the ruling unaware 'materially centric' ruling class. They used confessions as a covert way of being informed of people's transgressions for use in judging them according to the ideas and laws of the ruling material classes.

These churches did not keep these confessions absolutely privileged. They used these confessions to inform and guide the ruling status quo about people who defied their authority.

And without realizing it people were punish without realizing that their supposed private and privileged confession in the church was some times the only evidence against them.

Christians can still sin.

If we sin, we are to ask for forgiveness.

Becoming a Christian does not mean you can sin and say you are not sinning.

You are badly mistaken.

Paul quotes what a sinful person mistaken about the truth says:

1 Corinthians 6:12 "I have the right to do anything," you say--but not everything is beneficial. "I have the right to do anything"--but I will not be mastered by anything.

We cannot keep sinning. When we sin, it is sin, and we are to confess and repent of it.

Read this scripture, there were Corinthian believers who sinned and needed to repent.

2 Corinthians 12:21 I am afraid that when I come again my God will humble me before you, and I will be grieved over many who have sinned earlier and have not repented of the impurity, sexual sin and debauchery in which they have indulged.Revelation 2:5 Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.

Read these scriptures, what are they being disciplined for if they did not make mistakes and sin.

1 Corinthians 11:32 When we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world.

Hebrews 12:5 And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,

Hebrews 12:6 because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son.”

Hebrews 12:11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

James 3:2 We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check.

We are told to workout our salvation. If you were saved and never ever sinned again, then there would be nothing to work out.

Philippians 2:12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,

The old law where God said to use the blood of animals so that the people could atone for their sins...that was a teaching tool about Jesus, who was to come.

Jesus is the Sacrificial Lamb of God. Jesus' blood takes away the sins of the world.

This poster doesn't believe the good news, apparently.

See, the Jews did many works commanded by God, just to clean themselves. The good news is that we do not have to do those works to clean ourselves, because faith in Jesus' blood cleans us.

Obeying Jesus is good news. Obeying Jesus is life.

You think not having to obey God is the good news.

You gave no verses to show that Christ did not die for all men, or that He did not have be sacrificed for your sin, thus you continue to make things up and tell big fibs.

You have no Savour and no place in Gods Kingdom.

The good news of the Gospel that I believe in is that those Christ died for are made righteous by His obedience, the obedience of one Rom 5:19 !

2Pe 2:1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.
2Pe 2:2 And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.
2Pe 2:3 By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.
2Pe 2:4 For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;
2Pe 2:5 and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly;
2Pe 2:6 and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly;
2Pe 2:7 and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked
2Pe 2:8 (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)—
2Pe 2:9 then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,
2Pe 2:10 and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed. They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries,
2Pe 2:11 whereas angels, who are greater in power and might, do not bring a reviling accusation against them before the Lord.
2Pe 2:12 But these, like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption,
2Pe 2:13 and will receive the wages of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to carouse in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes, carousing in their own deceptions while they feast with you,
2Pe 2:14 having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children.
2Pe 2:15 They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
2Pe 2:16 but he was rebuked for his iniquity: a dumb donkey speaking with a man's voice restrained the madness of the prophet.
2Pe 2:17 These are wells without water, clouds carried by a tempest, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.
2Pe 2:18 For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error.
2Pe 2:19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage.
2Pe 2:20 For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning.
2Pe 2:21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.
2Pe 2:22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: "A DOG RETURNS TO HIS OWN VOMIT," and, "a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire."
