The Sin is With-in / The Salvation is With-out

In the Old Testament as well as the New Testament God's people are encouraged to live by faith.

In the Old Testament they believed in God's promise of a savior. They looked forward as to when he would appear. Hebrews 11:39 says that even though they had faith in the promise they didn't receive it. I guess they died believing.

We are much more fortunate. We can look back and know that the promise has been fulfilled. And besides that we have a complete Bible that tells us about him.

I see your interpretation here.

Then why do you want to live by laws and rules that have been abolished? Ephesians 2:15.
Ephesians talks about the enmity, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that was abolished.

The Law and its observance separated Gentiles from the people of Israel, God's people. God's Law for the nation of Israel had been given by the prophet Moses.

We are still to obey God in the new covenant.

..."Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, EVEN THE LAW of COMMANDMENTS...Ephesians 2:15.

You might as well be a Jew practicing Judaism.

I have no problem with anyone who is a Jew practicing Judaism.

You didn't quote the rest of the phrase from that verse, "...contained in ordinances".

The new covenant was promised to the house of Israel and the house of Judah.

The Messiah of Israel, God's Messiah, is the Messiah of the whole world.

Jesus is the Messiah promised in Judaism. If you get rid of Judaism you don't have the expectation of a coming Messiah fulfilled in Jesus.

The only thing that God accepts in both the Old Testament and the new Testament is faith, mainly faith in his Son Jesus Christ. All that have faith in Jesus Christ are given the Holy Spirit and are placed in Christ. God does not see us outside of Christ. "For you are dead and your life is hid with Christ in God" Colossians 3:3. As far as your salvation goes God is through with you. You are now complete in Christ, Colossians 2:10. You have entered into his rest, Hebrews 4:10.

False Teaching, the Only thing God accepts is Christ's shed blood for the sins of His Elect.

Those Christ died for are made right with God, reconciled to God, while they are enemies and faithless Rom 5:10 !

Robert is contradicting Jesus with this thread because Jesus himself declared that salvation is rather within and sin without. (Luke 17:21). To within we welcome salvation. From without, we lose it.

Your brother Paul said, "In my flesh dwells no good thing" Romans 7:18.

Right and Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, 1 John 2:2.
