The New And Old Wine

It's context should be noted...He was dealing with Pharisees that had added new teaching to the Word...new traditions...which bursts the old wine skin as it ferments...beware the leavening of Pharisees that puff up...

And He acknowledges that old wine is preferred...which diminishes His teaching if you see Him as the new wine...

But His teaching came prior to those Pharisees by a few thousand years...lol

Please note that old wine can be put into new wine skins without destroying everything...

A quick google search found this which helps to see this...

You really should find the Holy Spirit and learn from Him. You will never come to the truth without Him. Your carnal logic is where your deception is. You have to many preconceived ideas that you are trying to make them work. Jesus says point blank you cant put new wine into old wineskins. You say that you can.
Jesus says that if you try the old wineskins will burst. You say that will not. Do you see the pattern of blasphemy that you do against Jesus Christ. You do that all the time. That is why you are evil.

Luke 5:37-38

So the heart must be symbolically removed for circumcision because it is likened to the wineskin which will hold the new wine, (circumcision of the heart as symbolically portrayed in Hosea 13:7-8). First the animal is presented, then slain, then offered upon the altar. The skin, (which belongs to the Priest), is then taken to a certain Simon the Tanner. The tanner then cleanses the skin, and then washes it in running or living water, then dries it and soaks the skin in oil of the Spirit for a certain amount of time. After the tanning process is complete the skin is then given final preparations and sewed up to be filled with new wine. Thus it is a kainos-renewed wineskin, (because it was not neos-new like something completely brand new but rather came from a formerly living creature and had to be prepped and tanned before it could be used for the fermentation and preserving of the neos-new Spirit wine). The kainos-renewed wineskin is then filled with neos-new wine and both are allowed to age together as one. So you appear to be absolutely correct; for no one gives wine, neither new nor old, to livestock or animals and especially not to wild beasts such as lions, bears, and four headed leopards, (lol). :)

Here are some more verses-salvation:

Sheol and Abaddon are before YHWH: how much more the hearts of the sons of man! And I looked, and behold a chloros-green horse: and the name of the one seated thereon, Death, and Hades accompanied with him; and authority was given unto them over the fourth part of the land, to slay with rhomphaia, and with famine, and with Death, and by the beasts of the land. :)

Hiya again :)

Yes, I believe the part where he says that no man also having drunk the old wine, straight away desires the new, for he says the old better, I believe that here he is referring to the pharasees, they are quite happy with the old and don't want the teachings of Jesus which includes revelation which only the prophets received in the old testament. But now through Christ and by the grace of God and through faith, we receive the holy spirit, and by him we receive revelation.

When Jesus was with his disciples, he said to them,
Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. but then he went on to explain the parable to them, and this is the new wine, the teachings of Jesus first and then our understanding opened through Christ, by the spirit once we belong to God. Bit by bit and the more we deny ourselves, obey God and do his will, the more God opens up our understanding and it can only be done through Jesus. Without him we will have Moses and the prophets to listen to but we won't receive the Spirit, we only receive the life by the spirit through Christ Jesus his way is the only way and the truth and he is the life.

But, I totally agree with you about the old wine being able to put into the new bottles. Jesus always referred to the old testament, and it says in the Bible that Jesus is our cornerstone and the foundation is the apostles and the prophets, so we don't just put their teachings away, and it also says that God will write his laws within our minds and in our hearts.

I believe that Jesus lived by the old testament, he fulfilled all the laws but not the traditions and the changes in the law, added on by man but living out how God intended the laws to teach us to live from the beginning, they were brought in to teach Gods people to turn from sin. But now that Jesus has lived it out perfectly, never sining, and we have no excuse and we have a perfect example to follow. We have a new and living way through Jesus Christ, the son of the living God.

Wow that's one way of putting it :) our old beast nature has to be put to death, our old flesh gone and a new one created by God, when we live by the spirit, we do the will of God and we are covered by Christ. the one thing I think we differ on is the old, as we are taught that Jesus is the cornerstone and the apostles and the prophets are the foundation, so we can't just forget the teachings of the prophets. We are to be built on them as living stones, brought to life by the holy spirit as they were, and Christ is the cornerstone of us all as he was also in the prophets.

It's just that now we are taught by the spirit who circumcises our heart and not by the letters of the law which can be corrupted by man. The Spirit cannot be corrupted, so we know that by the teachings of the gospel and through the life of Jesus and by the holy spirit within, we have the pure word of the truth and the only true way and we are being kept alive by the living waters. :)

CRUCIFY EMOTIONS & FEELINGS (FLESH)

James 1:21-24
21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;
24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
John 3:3
3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
Luke 9:23-24
23 Then He said to them all, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.
24 "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.
John 3:5-7
5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 "Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'
Mark 8:35
35 "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel's will save it.
Gal 5:24
24 And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Eph 5:14-17
14 Therefore He says: "Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light."
15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,
16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Gal 6:5-8
5 For each one shall bear his own load.
6 Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
John 6:63
63 "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
2 Tim 2:4
4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.
Matt 5:29-30
29 "If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.
30 "And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.
Matt 22:16
16 And they sent to Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, "Teacher, we know that You are true, and teach the way of God in truth; nor do You care about anyone, for You do not regard the person of men.
Rev 2:11
11 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death."'
Luke 14:33
33 "So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.
Matt 19:27-29
27 Then Peter answered and said to Him, "See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?"
28 So Jesus said to them, "Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
29 "And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.
Mark 10:30
30 "who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time-- houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions-- and in the age to come, eternal life.
1 Pet 4:19
19 Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.
Heb 12:24-29
24 to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.
25 See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven,
26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, "Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven."
27 Now this, "Yet once more," indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
29 For our God is a consuming fire.
1 Tim 6:12-14
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
13 I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate,
14 that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ's appearing,
(NKJ)
xxxTo crucify the flesh(emotions & feelings) is to resist until they leave you. Some you might have to resist for awhile, but others could take a few years. And you do it with the help of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. The outer person consists of your feelings and emotions(unclean spirits). The inner man consists of affections from your soul. Your inner man is your spirit and soul. Your spirit is the mind of your inner man, your soul is the body of your inner man where your affections are. When you replace the emotions and feelings with the Word of God. Then the Word becomes the controller of the flesh.

James 1:4
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
(KJV)

1 Tim 6:7-8
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
(NKJ)

Rom 12:1-3
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

Luke 5:37-39
37 "And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined.

39 "And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, 'The old is better.'"

xxxTo crucify the emotions and feelings will be obedience to the Word. And it will cause much suffering on your part, but you will be suffering wrongfully but doing it willingly. And that is the definition of love. Its a scary thing when you find out the devil has always been in you and deceiving you. And you cannot know what kind of spirit you are of until you get rid of all emotions.

8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.

22 "But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire.

Heb 4:1-11

1 Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it.
2 For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.
3 For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: "So I swore in My wrath, they shall not enter My rest," although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: "And God rested on the seventh day from all His works";
5 and again in this place: "They shall not enter My rest."
6 Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience,
7 again He designates a certain day, saying in David, "Today," after such a long time, as it has been said: "Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts."
8 For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.
10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.
11 Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.

lol You are swimming in it. Of course you are a Pharisee, leaning on your own carnal understanding. If you would find the Holy Spirit He could fix that problem for you.

John 14:26
26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
(NKJ)

John 15:1-2
1 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
2 "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
(NKJ)

And He said the Sabbath was made for man...and to pray that its keeping continue into the future...

John 15:1-2

Yup...He prunes those that do NOT keep His will and commandments...

And if His Son did His own will and not that of His Father's...even He would have been pruned...but He said "not my will, but yours be done"...and so He died because His Father's OT law demanded it...

Is why He can say I kept my Father's commandments and remain in His love...

But you can't say that because you think you can choose whatever you want based on a erroneous interpretation and application of Paul when he spoke on which day to fast...

You can only say you choose whatever day you want because you think Paul said you could...lol

He didn't BTW, He said "copy me as I copy Christ"

And well, Christ kept Sabbath and showed how to do it...

lolol Backwards again. You should start reading slower. God prunes those who are keeping His commadnments so they can keep more. One grows in the Spirit. One never gets it all at one time. But if one is doing part right God will help them so they can do more right.

John 15:1-2
1 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
2 "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

One prunes a tree that is bearing fruit so it can produce more. If the tree isn't bearing any fruit one cuts it down.

Lol...Taking away branches not baring fruit IS pruning...

But you are right they are to keep more commandments not less...you would have them keep less or not at all...or bare fruit not of the same family...lol

Squeaky I can see this...and taking away complete branches that don't bear fruit is also part of pruning...

Good to see you are advocating more not less keeping of the commandments...

To everyone. Depending on where your at in your walk, determines what the new wine is to you. If your in the milk understanding, new wine to you would be the meat understanding. If your in the meat understanding new wine would be the revelations of Jesus Christ. The wine is knowledge.

Yes so to remain in the tree one must bare fruit...keep the commandments...if you don't you are taken away

it's not my reading that was the problem but my posting I should have said those that don't keep the commandments are taken away...which is also pruning...

Paul uses the metaphor again when reminding goyim that they are grafted into the trunk and root to replace branches that were cut off for their unbelief...because it is keep the commandments of God AND the testimony of Jesus

An olive tree was cursed for not baring fruit...extreme pruning...lol

But I am glad you see that those that bare fruit keep the commandments...and are pruned in order to keep keeping the commandments...
