The Late Great Urantia Revelation

I’ve been “awake” for a long time. In reality you are asking me to go to sleep, you want me to imbibe with you in the opiate of irrational sentimentality, religious indoctrination, biblical idolatry. As much as you talk about “critical thinking” you actually want me to set it aside and except the claims of the kind of blind politicians that rejected the Son of God. I didn't believe in Santa Clause for the same reason I don't believe in parting seas, sticks to snakes, murder from the sky, Noah's flood etc.
Of course I'm not asking for that. I'm not asking you to do anything but not make stuff up and stop listening to Sadler. The 'assessment' is wrong so the conclusion is as well. The PROBLEM is you settle for 'the seat of your pants' when driving expertise (critically working through) is needed. Yes I accuse you of being of thin veneer and hasty judgements. They are. You don't GET to speak for God, neither Sadler, neither the guy that wouldn't work.

Again, praying for you. This back and forth is becoming redundant. Unlike your book, I believe in a God who is able to actually do things.

No, it’s true, even the unbelieving Jews don’t practice the old primitive laws of the scriptures.
 You mean 'unbelieving Jews' don't believe in Judaism? THINK before you say something!

Let's deal with current 'Believing' Jews rather when talking about SPIRITUAL things Caino! Your book has you stuck in 'only natural' fleshly concerns. There are Messianic Jews ALREADY doing a good job addressing their book.
Besides that? I'm not a Jew. I'm not anti-Semitic either. I simply read what God may have had do to 'reach' a specific group of people. Your UB loses focus, isn't critical thinking (deliberating, problem solving, wrestling, reasoning/being reasonable). THINK before laying out strawmen next time. The UB didn't. It attacks Jews. My concern is when the UB attacks the New Testament.
I believe it is acceptable to simply say "Neither of us are Jews:" problem solved regardless of UB strawmen.

You can banter and double-down in uncritical thinking all you like. I'm much better at this than you and you SHOULD listen more than talk and try to teach. You don't think critically. Mean? No. I'm just trying to tell you I'm better at something you aren't. Wherever that is true, you SHOULD listen.

It’s not complicated, Judaism in an evolved religion. Rules and regulations purported to have come from God were conceived and adopted by men like every other religion on earth. My simple point is that Jews who are still in Judaism naturally stopped practicing the primitive laws. That’s just an observation.

No. I'll pray for you.

Doesn't matter what you think. Jesus is the focal point. He was Jewish. There is literally no other faith about God coming to man. It means your religion is certainly 'evolved' or de-evolved rather in my estimation.

Needed/needs work. It didn't convey your intent.
I'd think Jews get to say what they do and do not observe today.

They, today, have a different take on bitter waters than Urantia non-authoritative assumption of voodoo/witchcraft (a curse). They believe the ceremony alone is enough to help establish guilt. You can take it up with them. I'm not a Jew. I don't have a dog in their fight, but you are barking up the wrong tree when you say Jesus didn't come fulfilling their laws. He did.

Jesus fulfilled the “intent” or spirit of the laws that evolved earlier in Judaism between Melchizedek’s teachings and Jesus’ coming.

140:6.2 When he had entered the garden, he gathered the apostles around him and taught them further, saying: "You find it difficult to receive my message because you would build the new teaching directly upon the old, but I declare that you must be reborn. You must start out afresh as little children and be willing to trust my teaching and believe in God. The new gospel of the kingdom cannot be made to conform to that which is. You have wrong ideas of the Son of Man and his mission on earth. But do not make the mistake of thinking that I have come to set aside the law and the prophets; I have not come to destroy but to fulfill, to enlarge and illuminate. I come not to transgress the law but rather to write these new commandments on the tablets of your hearts.

140:6.3 "I demand of you a righteousness that shall exceed the righteousness of those who seek to obtain the Father's favor by almsgiving, prayer, and fasting. If you would enter the kingdom, you must have a righteousness that consists in love, mercy, and truth — the sincere desire to do the will of my Father in heaven."

He was God, Caino. I'll continue to pray for you until you get it. Sadler and groupies made this up too. Do you want to be duped by men or follow God? Take Jesus over charlatans.

That’s sort of true when dealing with closed minded people, it doesn’t matter what one says.
🤔 (actually critically thinking)

1) A mental 'patient' (Cayce-Wilfred Kellogg) with drug addiction treatment, was possessed by celestial beings who gave the Urantia book.

2) Celestial beings can take your dematerialized atoms to another planet
and reassemble them.

3) Intimate experience analogous of sex, to be had in 'the mansion world.'
'Sexually frustrated or deficient individuals' will acquire sexual experiences on an emotional and spiritual level."

4) Enoch and Elijah 'translated' after attaining nirvana "cosmic achievement."

5)Jesus didn't die for our sins. He simply corrected and taught and was simply a 'good teacher.'

6) Guardian angels are assigned to you forever for many ages as a guide.

7) Architectural (made to order) worlds is available with suns 'without heat.'

8) Thought adjuster, a "God-fragment" we will 'fuse' with the fragment making us 'godlike.'

9) All men, whether they know it or not, that lives a life that could be called 'pleasing to God' are 'saved' already.

That’s sort of true when dealing with closed minded people, it doesn’t matter what one says.
Yep. That is sort of true 🆙 (probably not for the reason you had in mind, no?).

That’s a fair assessment for the most part except for “(Cayce-Wilfred Kellogg) with drug addiction”. But you have to lie.
No savage religious fanatics sacrificing Gods Son back to him to alleviate the self imposed guilt of neurotic sin-obsession. A sin-debt they are told they were born into.

Its difficult for some people to accept that God is a Loving and forgiving Father who created and manages a friendly universe.

Doesn’t Christianity have guardian angels and a pure spirit within?

No I certainly did not! I linked it. You can call them a liar, but knock off this 'flesh'' stuff, Caino! You indulge your sin nature a lot. I don't do the same with you.

Right. Says the man that indulges his sin nature in our discussions. I could say 'knock it off' but "it is only natural" of course.
A sin-debt they are told they were born into.
Doesn't matter. What matters is I knew 'the good I wanted to do, this I didn't, and the things I didn't want to do, this I did. Who would save me from this body of wrath? Thanks be to the Lord Jesus Christ!' Your book has no hope. Worse, it has no Jesus, just some sleeping 'patient' Sadler was treating for mental illness.
Its difficult for some people to accept that God is a Loving and forgiving Father who created and manages a friendly universe.
No, it is difficult to see all the evil in the world, Caino. God HAS to do something about it and it will not be a slap on the wrist. The Lord Jesus Christ gave the wheat and tares analogy, Caino. I suppose weeds have to have their own religion, but even other weeds think the UB is weird, quirky, and laughable. I'll not include those links, but there are a few youtube videos reviling this book.

Not like you are saying, no. God does have angels. A 'pure spirit' within? No. The ONLY Spirit who is God? Yes. Huge difference. Only those "in" Christ Jesus have Him. Your book only knows instructions and human philosophies of man and calls that 'holy.' Nope. Not. According to the teaching of the UB, I don't even need to read it 'to be saved.' It borders on Universalism (universal salvation).

As would be expected, there is some sketchy science in the Urantia Book: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Urantia_Book#Criticism_of_its_science
The fact that 'supposed superior beings' gave the 'prophet' what to say, it is ironic that the UB comes with a 'disclaimer' regarding 'facts.' Pretty much ends the discussion upon such a dumb premise for most thinking individuals, but I can't get Caino to actually think. He just isn't able to synthesize data and facts into his critical thinking skills. :Z

Otherwise it is the proverbial nail in the UB coffin. 🆙

Notice that all previous prophets and the Son of God himself didn't give us any "unearned knowledge" when it comes to undiscovered scientific facts.

As to the statements of science in the UB we are well aware of the issue. However, what's fascinating is that some of the statements have been validated later while the theories were out of favor at the time.

THE LIMITATIONS OF REVELATION

101:4.1 "Because your world is generally ignorant of origins, even of physical origins, it has appeared to be wise from time to time to provide instruction in cosmology. And always has this made trouble for the future. The laws of revelation hamper us greatly by their proscription of the impartation of unearned or premature knowledge. Any cosmology presented as a part of revealed religion is destined to be outgrown in a very short time. Accordingly, future students of such a revelation are tempted to discard any element of genuine religious truth it may contain because they discover errors on the face of the associated cosmologies therein presented.

101:4.2 Mankind should understand that we who participate in the revelation of truth are very rigorously limited by the instructions of our superiors. We are not at liberty to anticipate the scientific discoveries of a thousand years. Revelators must act in accordance with the instructions which form a part of the revelation mandate. We see no way of overcoming this difficulty, either now or at any future time. We full well know that, while the historic facts and religious truths of this series of revelatory presentations will stand on the records of the ages to come, within a few short years many of our statements regarding the physical sciences will stand in need of revision in consequence of additional scientific developments and new discoveries. These new developments we even now foresee, but we are forbidden to include such humanly undiscovered facts in the revelatory records. Let it be made clear that revelations are not necessarily inspired. The cosmology of these revelations is not inspired. It is limited by our permission for the co-ordination and sorting of present-day knowledge. While divine or spiritual insight is a gift, human wisdom must evolve.

101:4.3 Truth is always a revelation: autorevelation when it emerges as a result of the work of the indwelling Adjuster; epochal revelation when it is presented by the function of some other celestial agency, group, or personality.

101:4.4 In the last analysis, religion is to be judged by its fruits, according to the manner and the extent to which it exhibits its own inherent and divine excellence.

101:4.5 Truth may be but relatively inspired, even though revelation is invariably a spiritual phenomenon. While statements with reference to cosmology are never inspired, such revelations are of immense value in that they at least transiently clarify knowledge by:

1. The reduction of confusion by the authoritative elimination of error.
2. The co-ordination of known or about-to-be-known facts and observations.
3. The restoration of important bits of lost knowledge concerning epochal transactions in the distant past.
4. The supplying of information which will fill in vital missing gaps in otherwise earned knowledge.
5. Presenting cosmic data in such a manner as to illuminate the spiritual teachings contained in the accompanying revelation.

To the contrary, I do think critically, that's why even as a child in Sunday school I never believed the Israelites version of history.
