THE GREAT ADVANCEMENT

Mocking You

How were you introduced to your Computer?

My current computer?
I built it in March 2012. Intel i7, 16 GB RAM, 1TB hard drive, 120GB SSD, high performance graphics card, etc. etc.

My first computer?
An Atari 800 I bought in the summer of 1981. I paid $789 for it. It had 48K of RAM. (that 'K' is not a typo.)

I used a KayPro portable computer in the mid 1980's. Basically it was a forerunner of laptops.

I remember my first Windows 3.1 computer had a 4GB hard drive. Man! That was Yuge!

I had one of the Sinclair computers and used a cassette tape for storage.

I still have one of the original Osborne 1 computers somewhere in the house.
