It means Christ has returned and completed His Holy city of resurrected saints.

For only the saints of the resurrection will see His face in the Holy City and the remaining world will be overseen by the Saints in power in the Kingdom of God on earth.

Rev 22:1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Rev 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
Rev 22:3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
Rev 22:4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
Rev 22:5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
Rev 22:6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

Mat 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Mat 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Psa 72:1 A Psalm for Solomon. Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.
Psa 72:2 He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.
Psa 72:3 The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.
Psa 72:4 He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.
Psa 72:5 They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.
Psa 72:6 He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.
Psa 72:7 In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.
Psa 72:8 He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.
Psa 72:9 They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.
Psa 72:10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
Psa 72:11 Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.
Psa 72:12 For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.
Psa 72:13 He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.
Psa 72:14 He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.
Psa 72:15 And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.
Psa 72:16 There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.
Psa 72:17 His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.
Psa 72:18 Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.
Psa 72:19 And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.
Psa 72:20 The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.

Sorry LA, but by the time of the NHNE, the old was gone. There is no "remaining" world being ruled by believers. You're not reading well. Maybe consult 2 Pet 3, which is easier to follow than the Rev.

It is so simple that it is frustrating to see all of the confused folks arguing about this.

Old Covenant- Let Israel inherit the land, like God said.

4 gospels, Hebrews thru Rev- Let this new Israel inherit the New Jerusalem, like God said.

Romans-Philemon - Let the Body inherit the heavens, like God said.

Find out where you belong, and find the scriptures written to you, and get on with it.

This is the best post I seen in this thread!

The meek will inherit the earth.

The Kingdom of God will be upon the earth.

The only distinction among Gods people at the time is that of the resurrected believers and the mortal believers.

However all will be upon the earth as there is only one Kingdom of God ruling over the mortal nations of the earth.

Dan 7:27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

The two kingdoms which will not survive the coming wrath of God are--

Babylon (Isaiah ch 14 Rev.ch 16)

Esau (Ezekiel ch 35.)

2 Peter ch 3 is dealing with the day when all the ungodly of all time will burn with the present earth.

The coming of the Lord deals with the judging and destroying of all the living wicked of this age.

This is why the text reads--

2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

The point was there was nothing Judaic happening, or judging of individual countries. I don't think you absorbed that.

Except that it isn't true. The most poignant passage about the Jerusalem above is in Galatians. The quote has traces of 2P2P which is not in the NT.

re "getting on with it" With what?
We should sound like Acts 13's sermon. The promises to the fathers are fulfilled in Christ's resurrection so that we can be justified from our sins. That sermon anchors and organizes the whole scope of the Bible, doesn't it?

LA,
if you want to communicate clearly about the Kingdom/reign of God, the most important distinction is whether it is the NHNE or not at the end of earth's history. The reign is in effect right now, since Christ is enthroned. There is a binding of Satan now, too, Mt 12. But most of the time you mean the millennium. That is not the idea at all, and that is future in your view anyway, which would leave all the present tense kingdom sayings hanging in the wind.

There are no countries to be judged on the last day. It is all individual, says Rom 2.

Dispensationalism is preconceived.

Did Martin Luther preconceive the actual sense of Romans 1:17's "righteousness of God"?

I ask because his was the exact same process of discovery that led to the reemergence of that truth by which the truly, consistent Acts 9 Dispensationalist (A9D) studies a thing out.

The A9D does not go in with a preconceived notion, rather; he goes in seeking to uncover what's what each time anew.

He ends up A9D each time, only after the fact of that process.

It is not only how the Hermeneutic reemerged, but how it has continued to refine itself, as any science is able to - due to this same starting anew, each time out.

This will necessarily offend... but you don't know what you are talking about.

Rev 7:10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
Rev 7:11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
Rev 7:12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

There is no reason to confuse the 'father of many nations' of Abraham with Christ and something future. You must never have read Gal 3! Go enjoy! It's exciting--and present tense. It's what the book of Acts is about. Gal 3 is why the 'failure of the Bible or God is not resolved in future Israel'--it is resolved in Christ now!

There is no reason to print out passages. The reference will do. I've been at this 45 years.

Yes, Christ will inherit the nations in the NHNE. It is not millennial.

True believers are Israel and Israel has a future.--

Gal 6:16 And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

OK junior.

Yes, Christ will inherit the nations in the NHNE. It is not millennial.

It is millennial (not 1000 years) because it is years and those years have an end which can only occur after He reigns with the saints over the kingdoms of the earth, when men will not learn war.

1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
1Co 15:24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
1Co 15:25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
1Co 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
1Co 15:27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
1Co 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

Clearly, God will not be all in all, while there are multiple nations on the earth.

Rev.21 verse 1, is the last verse of chapter 20.

Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

The next verses of ch 21 change to describe the millennium--

Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Rev 21:10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
Rev 21:11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
Rev 21:12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
Rev 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
Rev 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
Rev 21:24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
Rev 21:25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
Rev 21:26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

Isa 60:18 Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.
Isa 60:19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
Isa 60:20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

Oh, is there a belief out there that the Rev 20 millenium is Jewish but the NHNE is a Christian millenium? That sounds like what you are saying. That's 2P2P all over again. I need you to be clear; I don't need piles of quotes.

Oh, is there a belief out there that the Rev 20 millenium is Jewish but the NHNE is a Christian millenium? That sounds like what you are saying. That's 2P2P all over again. I need you to be clear; I don't need piles of quotes.

The new Heavens and new earth refer to the rulership of the present earth during the millennium, before the new Heavens and new Earth following the last judgment occurs.

That is how it is hid.

Psalm 72 gives the conditions of the millennium , not of eternity when God will be All in All.

The present sun and moon only endures until---

Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

No sun and moon exists in the fresh earth following the last judgment.

It may not even be round but extended throughout eternity with no end because it is in Heaven itself.

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

God is then ALL in All .

Hid? Where does it say the NHNE is hid?

That's totally worthless thinking and reasoning. It is completely disclosed in 2 Pet 3 what will be going on. Do not generate doctrine from the Rev, unless it is crystal clear in ordinary language from the apostles elsewhere.

It is crystal clear elsewhere but you can not see it.

You like to think you know but the Lord has not shown you because of your pride which gets in your way.

Rev. is the endings of the scriptures which began in Genesis but you are blind to them.

Rev 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Rev 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
Rev 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
