the church does not teach tulip
-how can anyone understand that?
-it makes no sense

It makes absolutely perfect sense.... if you believe in the sovereignty of God.

Whereas if you believe you are a free agent (which is in itself a religion to some people) it doesn't make sense.

If God's Word says that we are already forgiven and have already received mercy, would it not be an insult to God to ask for them again?

Titus 3:4-7 (AKJV/PCE)
(3:4) But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, (3:5) Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; (3:6) Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; (3:7) That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

You're misinterpreting, let the Magisterium do the work for you.
They'd never lie to you.

we are not already forgiven even though I'm sure you can find some passage that you think shows that we are
Yes, there are. The reason that I can find them is that they are there. Why don't you believe them?

Don't you want to be forgiven?

Eph 4:32 (AKJV/PCE)
(4:32) And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

how do you explain this one?- Ephesians 1:7King James Version (KJV)

7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Catholics only believe what their Priests and Pope tell them what to believe.
Priests, only when they teach what the papacy teaches, in matters of faith, doctrine and morals.

And Catholics aren't the only ones who believe what the Pope tells you. You believe in the Trinity, right? That's Catholic.
