Well let me put this way. No and there are some women who refuse to be beaten. It's called self defense. each:

A well aimed hand gun could have stopped both...not during the planning stage, but as soon as the action started. So, I guess a beating might do it, as well.

As I said to my husband when he was my fiancé "If you ever lift a hand to me you better make it a good one because it will be your last one!"

He was so upset with me for even saying such a thing! We were married 52+ years and neither of us ever resorted to violence. Even verbally, he was very careful of me...and I, well...as you have seen, sometimes my temper runs away with me.

But I respected him and didn't ever want to hurt him.

The city bus driver got out of his bus and pulled a guy out of his car and beat him bloody unconscious when he witnessed the guy run over a child a few years ago in Honolulu. A warning for squeaky not to visit.

One thing to keep in mind about beating people: it's called assault. If the person that you are beating has a gun and fears for their life, they can shoot you. They would likely not face any charges because it was self defense.
