It must have been frightening for horror writer Stephen King to apologize for a tweet about Ron DeSantis that turned out to be pure fiction.

The far-left novelist told his 6.7 million Twitter followers on July 6 that the popular Florida governor had signed a bill requiring Sunshine State students and professors to register their political views with the state. But when people pointed out that it was a bogus claim from an old Salon article, King first apologized, then took down the tweet.

“I deleted a tweet about Ron DeSantis requiring notice of political views of students and teachers,” King tweeted. “That really was fake news. Sorry.”

Twitter, which selectively cracks down on anything it deems misinformation, did nothing about the tweet for several days before King acted.

Leftist Losers Try To Smear Gov. DeSantis As The Latest “Threat” To America’s Survival

This is where the bananahead got her talking points from yesterday.

A hit piece written for the Washington Post last week, then excerpted on Twitter where it's been pushed for idiots like the bananahead to consume and disseminate.

My favorite current version of the Gadsden flag, the meme-worthy version that you often see paired with Pepe the Frog and posted on 4chan, the version that makes woke leftists melt down like the snowflakes they are

"disgusting fat ugly harpies"

Can I use this? I intend to use it as a synonym for "The View"...Example below:

"Hey, did you watch "Disgusting Fat Ugly Harpies" on ABC News yesterday? :D What?...Oh, you probably refer to it as "The View", that's soooo last week."

I think it will take off.

Rolling Stone reported Sunday that former President Donald Trump is not happy with Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who some say will use his 2022 win to propel himself to the Republican nomination for president in 2024. DeSantis tried to throw himself into the same stunt that Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) was doing, shipping immigrants and refugees off to other cities around the country and politicizing it with Fox.

Trump is furious, not because of the stunt using human beings as political pawns, but because DeSantis has become a Fox news star, Rolling Stone reported.

"Trump has fumed over all the praise DeSantis’ action has been receiving in influential conservative circles lately," the report said. He "has privately accused DeSantis of doing this largely to generate a 2024 polling boost for himself among GOP voters."

Trump has been trying to use the search warrant executed at his country club in Florida to raise money for a "legal defense fund" and paint himself as a victim. He was also said to be fuming that the whole idea was his and not DeSantis' or Abbott's.

Over the weekend, DeSantis was supposed to be one of the speakers at a Family Research Council conference called "Prayer Vote Stand" in Atlanta. But according to Religion Dispatches, he was a "no-show."

Former Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback told the anti-LGBTQ activists that they must form their own groups that promote so-called "religious freedom" and organize around different faith communities.

Religious freedom has become a buzzword for the religious right, that means they have the power to discriminate against whoever they want without consequence because it falls under the protection of their faith.

According to a report from Vanity Fair, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) has two obstacles that could derail his path to becoming the Republican Party's 2024 presidential nominee: Donald Trump and DeSantis' own arrogance when it comes to dealing with big-money conservative donors.

In a deep dive into the low-key moves by the controversial Florida governor to claim the mantle of the face of the GOP, Gabriel Sherman wrote that DeSantis has been successful so far at raising cash, but donors are put off by him personally and that may come back to haunt him.

According to the report, DeSantis is engaged in a cold war with the former president and has admitted that the best way to take Trump on for the presidential nod is to attack him head-on.

"DeSantis in private trashes Trump. 'He calls him a TV personality and a moron who has no business running for president,' a former DeSantis staffer said. DeSantis tells donors that, if he takes on Trump, he would launch a full frontal attack on his record and competence, according to a GOP source briefed on the conversations," the report states.

The left is working overtime trying to smear Ron DeSantis.
Donald Trump hinted to reporters that he has dirt on Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and he'd be willing to use it should the Florida Republican challenge him for the GOP presidential nomination in 2024.

"Mr. Trump endorsed Mr. DeSantis in his 2018 run for governor, lifting the tea party-styled congressman in a Republican primary over establishment favorite Adam Putnam. Mr. DeSantis went on to barely win the general election but Covid-19 helped turn him into a GOP darling as he eventually eschewed lockdowns and downplayed vaccine mandates. Mr. DeSantis has broken gubernatorial fundraising records nationally, pulling in some $200 million," before adding, "The governor didn’t ask for Mr. Trump’s endorsement this time and nor did Mr. Trump formally offer one."

Trump explained, “If he runs, I will tell you things about him that won’t be very flattering. I know more about him than anybody other than perhaps his wife, who is really running his campaign.”
