A qualified yes. One must wonder why the qualification is necessary.
No need to wonder. The qualification is made necessary by the apparently irresistible tendency of anti-Catholics like yourself to completely misunderstand, misapply, and misrepresent what the Catholic Church actually believes and teaches.

Nothing in these questions was misrepresented, though.

We'll see, depending on how you choose to try and represent and apply each one in individual situations. I'm happy to give you the benefit of the doubt, however, until you begin to distort Catholic doctrine by viewing it through a decidedly anti-Catholic lens. So far, so good.

(Also, if you pulled your questions from the internet, you should post the web address of your source.)

Cruciform,
re: "Properly understood, and in their intended contexts, yes, all."

How is #12 to be properly understood? And what is the intended context?

Either that's a lie or you are incredibly ignorant and lazy:

  1. For whom is the Catechism intended?
The Catechism is intended, first of all, for bishops as teachers of the faith and pastors of the Church. They have the first responsibility in catechesis. Through the bishops, the Catechism is addressed to editors of catechisms, priests, catechists and all others responsible for catechesis. It will also be useful reading for all the faithful.
While the Catechism is not intended for direct use by young people or children, Pope John Paul II said that the Catechism "is offered to all the faithful who want to understand better the inexhaustible riches of salvation."
It's intended for Catholics, not for non-Catholics (I do find it odd that it is "not intended for direct use by young people or children." I wonder why that could be).

Where is your fear and rage coming from? I simply posted questions direct from the official, authoritative statements YOUR church has made, and you react like this? Why do these questions make you feel threatened? Perhaps you are unsure of your beliefs?

On the other hand...thank you for confirming that our beliefs are contradictory. About time one of you Catholics was honest enough to admit what we already knew. ;)

musterion is worried about whether or not mary sinned
but
he is not worried about predestination or forgiving
two of the most significant topics on the board today
and
last time I checked he has yet to weigh in on either one

There is something diabolical to purposely twisting words. It is no wonder the West has fallen so far.

God tells us to judge something by it's fruits. From that measure yes indeed the Catholics are true believers because in most majority Catholic countries with an official relationship with the Catholic Church child sacrifice is not allowed or is severely restricted, homosexual indoctrination of children is not allowed nor is pornography. On the other hand in Protestant nations all these are allowed. Worse still is these Protestant nations try to force these perversions on poor Catholic ones, they will receive their due.

Do you know that Jesus says let the dead bury own dead, and also say to love your enemy?

Catholics are deeply involved in the politics which is of the world. Dead is the world.

They are also pro-military which is politics.

They are one of their major ungodly fruit.

blessings.

I am? Did I post on such a thread recently? I don't recall doing so.

but

So?

This doesn't explain your emotional outburst at me just asking questions right out of YOUR official authoritative church documents.

Why ARE you upset?

More of the same broken record irrelevant threadjacking. She's been warned about this in the past.

This is musterion's whining.

Sancocho skipped conveniently telling the whole truth. I just added what he is skipping.

You need to judge fairly, friend.

Eye opening is the false teachings of the RCC. I pray Jesus will open the eyes of those blind to the RCC's false Christ and teachings and so come out from among them and come running to Jesus, I AM WHO I AM, in full repentance to salvation.

Please provide evidence that the Church is pro military.

The whole truth is the Catholic countries have a lower incidence of war and homicides. Protestant countries are among the most violent countries the world has ever known.

7. Do you believe The New Catholic Catechism (1471, 1478, 1479) when it says that through indulgences come the remission of the punishments due for sins” ?

The Catechism clearly states that:

“An indulgence is a remission before God of the temporal punishment due to sins whose guilt has already been forgiven"

so the classic myth that an indulgence is paying to have sins forgiven is a lie of course. Indulgences are based on the concept that while sin is forgiven and we have no guilt there is still the issue of temporal punishment. A classic example of this concept is the fact that even after Baptism we will still die a physical death, which is a temporal penalty. No Christian in their right mind would deny this.

As far as the others, interestingly many Protestants claim everything must be clearly taken literally in the Bible except for the real presences of Jesus Christ body and blood during the celebration of His sacrifice. I understand this is difficult for many to accept and the Bible says many of Christ's disciples abandoned Him when He stated:

"Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day."
