Psalm 82

82 God has taken his place in the divine council;
in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:
2
“How long will you judge unjustly
and show partiality to the wicked? Selah
3
Give justice to the weak and the fatherless;
maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.
4
Rescue the weak and the needy;
deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”

5
They have neither knowledge nor understanding,
they walk about in darkness;
all the foundations of the earth are shaken.

6
I said, “You are gods,
sons of the Most High, all of you;
7
nevertheless, like men you shall die,
and fall like any prince.”

8
Arise, O God, judge the earth;
for you shall inherit all the nations!

There are daughters of the most High.

True or false?

i dont think they are male and female like us.

Luke 20 35-36
35 but those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and to the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage, 36 for they cannot die anymore, because they are equal to angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.

i dont think Jesus is referring to only the male believers.

Great passage!

And the gods there is in the sense of Genesis 3.

It is the issue that like God, man knows right from wrong.

And it is the issue of which of those two men tend to choose - wrong.

Thus, the passage's sense of lament and despair, and yet also of (Biblical hope - of) a confident expectation that God will one day make all things right.

who were these gods?

According to the Master they are those to whom the Logos-Word of Elohim had come:

John 10:34-36
34 Ι̅H answered them, Is it not written in your law, "I said, You are Elohim"?
35 If he called them Elohim, those unto whom the Logos-Word of Elohim had come, and the scripture cannot be broken:
36 Do you say of him, whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, "You blaspheme!", because I said, I am a son of Elohim?

So then, if the Logos-Word of Elohim has likewise come to you, then this Testimony of Meshiah emphatically implies that you are an Elohim and a son of the Most High: but by the context of the Psalm you too will die like an adam and fall as one of the sarim-princes.

the gods of the Psalm are like Adam and Eve?

The themes are the same...

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Genesis 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: 3:23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

Nevertheless, Rom. 14:5.

i thnk you may be on to something being as Adam was created as a son of the Most High and there is a change after he leaves the garden.
