Strangely, secular astronomers continue to be surprised at the appearance of age, in the distant universe. (What they consider to be early universe).
Its easy to google to find astronomers surprised when Hubble discoveries contradict their billion of year belief system.

Big Bang 'theory' has too much plasticity to be totally contradicted. (Although, there are secularists looking for a new 'theory' to replace Big Bang, that still excludes a Creator)

The answer... Bob was correct.
Current astronomers still are "surprised" and "amazed" and need to "rethink" when they find differences between distant galaxies and
"modern" ones.
