Why did Ezekiel eat the scroll?
Just ask AI.
I guess not lol.
You got that right. So what does it mean? He took possession of it so he could prophesy again.
Some have Ezekiel eating a roll. Others have him eating a book. Is that a good translation?
One translation has a scroll in chapter 5 of the Apocalypse and a book in chapter 10. There were no books until the 3rd century. What was in the little book? The Book of Revelation. A second or third John would have to eat it before he could prophesy again. There was only one John who could do that. John Chrysostom who was in Ephesus at the beginning of the fifth century.

A Name John Three Times -
A reason for this. There are three different Johns. John the Baptist who bare record. John the Apostle to the seven churches and John Chrysostom, who also am your brother, was in Ephesus at the beginning of the fifth century replacing seven corrupt bishops. John ate the little book and was asked to prophesy again and again. Home 26 MENU
a question why
A John Named Three Times -
A question not answered. Just ignore it and maybe it will go away. Like why was it written? Who has answered that question? It might lead to who wrote it. Like preparing the way for the Lamb, the First Coming?? None of this is understood and it won't be until the time is at hand for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Thank you Daniel. Home 27 MENU

A Date 30 September 395 -
A famous John at that time was Chrysostom so according to Nikolai Morozov, a self made astronomer, he must have written the Apocalypse. He was in Ephesus at the beginning of the fifth century and could have said five are fallen, one is, and the other is not yet come if the Roman Empire had seven dynasties. Jerome was finishing his Vulgate at this time and may have needed confirmation that John the Apostle did indeed write the Apocalypse. Home 28 MENU
