ECT Luther questioned.

As you prepared
to nail your
95 Theses
to the Cathedral door.
If a glimpse through time
had been granted you
my dear Luther
to see the 41,000
denominations that would
spring from your
protestations.
Would you have driven
that nail home?
Or would the shame
have been to much
to bare?
41,000 cults, sects
and denominations
each and every one
declaring
We Are The Way
in place of Him
who had already worded,
''I Am The Way''.

Either one denomination is correct and the rest wrong on some theological points or they are all wrong. :)

Each and every denomination have one thing in common. They all think that they are correct and that theirs is the way.

I have never heard any denom leader other than cults claim that "they are the way" Truster's answer would seem to be not to join fellowship with anybody which makes him a denomination of one.

...and still he gets splits :chuckle:

Sure, I would have posted those theses, Jesus Christ, not the tradition of men, is the way to the Father. And the Way is based on people learning and believing scripture

Those that read and believed scripture (that the RCC did not), put themselves in a position to believe God more.

It is the word of God that must be adhered to and believed, not the traditions of men.

Clearly, though, 41,000 pro scripture denominations does not fit with endeavoring to keep the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace Ephesians 4:3, they were at the least moving in the direction of scripture.

As I like to say, there are 41,000 scriptural reasons to leave the RCC.

Peter, and Paul and many believers split from the synagogues and the hard hearted Judeans because they refused to believe God's words

have you read them?
there is really only one issue there
the selling of indulgences
and
they are no longer sold
so
you all come back now
we should all agree

There is one Spirit. One body of Christ. One Church.
"...for the sake of His body, that is, His church." Colossians 1:24
"For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we are all baptized into one body..." 1 Corinthians 12:12-13

The question is: Who shares in the One Spirit of God and is truly connected to His church, His body?

The answer is:

The regenerate.

1Jn 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

If one knows God they will understand the disciples, those that do not know God can not hear.

No matter what the church teaches, listen to what the disciples taught.
