....John doesn't simply say

He says "you have heard that Antichrist cometh...."

Written in John's life time, before 70 AD.
1Jn 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: (He said in 65 AD, "it is the last time")
and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, (Now he is saying that they have heard that the antichrist shall come.)
even now are there many antichrists;(even in 65 AD there were already many antichrists)
whereby we know that it is the last time (John tells them that they know by these facts, it is the last time).

You can tell people all day that this message is written to you Totton, but that just doesn't compute.

Yeah, you do have a point there...ideas based on history, as full of holes as history tends to be, the Scriptures twisted by your school to fit said history, well, they're not going to compute very well with some. Good point.

So the church has been raptured, the dead first were raised then all Christians who were alive in 70ad and remained were caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the clouds.

...so who are we?

This is what Paul said some have made shipwreck of their faith preaching the resurrection is past.

....others were excitable claiming the Lord was among them. 2Thess.2.

Totton,
Allow me to just explain with only one scripture referenced.

1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

Key words here are "every man in his own order" Jesus told the Jews that if they believed on him they would never die. So, Christ (when he died on the cross) the first fruits (the Jews who believed him while he walked the earth but died before his crucifixion) even the thief on the cross that believed was told that on that day he would be with Christ in paradise and afterward they that are Christ's at his coming (dead Jews of faith previously)The resurrection of the dead are the Jews of faith that lived before Jesus came..

Now, every man in his own order, means that as we pass from this life we will go directly to paradise to be with our Lord. That is the orderly manner of end of life here on earth.

All of this is backed by scripture, but it would be a good sized bible study.

Totton Linnet,

The bible simply says that anyone who doesn't believe Jesus is the Christ, is anti-Christ. There are still millions of anti-Christs walking around today.

1Jn 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

Millions of people are not anti-Christ because they do not believe.

You falsify the teachings of scripture.

The order is that of resurrection.

1Co 15:12 Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
1Co 15:13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
1Co 15:14 And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
1Co 15:15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
1Co 15:16 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
1Co 15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
1Co 15:18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
1Co 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
1Co 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
1Co 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

...a good sized bible

...that is the bible + your commentary

every man in his own order simply refers to the three resurrections

First Christ
second the rapture
then the general resurrection

If the whole church had been raptured in 70 ad...then who are we?

If we are living in an age that has no end, which we are, and we will never die, which we will not die(think spiritual), what is your reason that we will be resurrected in a group? Does not compute!

Eph 3:21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Don't tell me that Jesus will set up a physical kingdom here on earth for he has already said "My kingdom is not of this world".

Yo, Sherlock :p, he said that from the perspective of Ephesians 2:

7. That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

Duh, way do you think he uses the phrase "eternal glory"?

If the smoke has settled and done are the attack and counter attack on Jesus return topic. Then it is agreed that Jesus is coming back second time.

The gathering away is another matter for another day.

Yes, there is the day of judgement through Christ of all mankind, Acts 17. There is nothing geo-political about that, nor could any events on earth fulfill the day of judgement of God.

The gathering away and other things that had to do with 1st century Judea was the departure of early Christians from Judea during the Jewish War. In 67, the war was suspended by governmental breakdown back in Rome, and many Christians left the city and the country, as Jesus had warned them to do.
