Is President Trump cutting some of his supporters off?

This morning we hear (in the UK) that President Trump has denounced those supporters who demonstrated in Washington last Wednesday.

From his 'I love you, we were cheated but please go home' message which was shown on the night he has now denounced those same supporters as making 'mayhem' in a 'heinous attack'.

President Trump appears to have conceded to the Democrats and now seeks a smooth transition of power.

This is a report by the Telegraph, but I expect it is repeated through the press................

Donald Trump has called on Americans to come together after violent scenes in Washington on Wednesday which he condemned as "mayhem" and a "heinous attack".
In a short video posted on Twitter, Mr Trump said being president had been "the honour of my lifetime" and insisted that in spreading baseless claims of election fraud he had merely been "fighting to defend American democracy". He also committed to a "smooth transfer of power".

Your obsession is impressive
The whole World is watching these stories with keen interest.
Whenever you are put out by news which you don't like you tend to throw 'stones'. An easy 'doser' thermometer to read.......

Answer?
Yes........ we are interested.
The World is interested.

I would bet that Wednesday evening's incidents in Washington, USA were watched by more viewers throughout the World than any other program, ever, in history.

Oh how nice. You're worried about us thinking we'll collapse without the Donald. Just goes to show how little you understand us. Too bad you're in the dark as to what is really happening. Just keep watching. You'll learn as you go.

Your tenderhearted feelings for us are appreciated.

It would be better if you didn't put ideas and feelings and words in to my person.
Because I don't think that the Conservatives of America will collapse without President Trump. I rather think that they will move forwards......
I think that Republicans may soon begin to view President Trump differently.

My country will have a somewhat tougher time in relations with a Democrat Government. You just don't seem to have clicked on that at all.

It's a common generalization:

Republican= Pro Trump
Conservative = Pro Trump

Critical of Trump? You are, by definition, not Republican or conservative. You are a leftist. And "leftist" means extreme left.

Yes....... Up until now that seems to have been the idea.
But how long can will that last for?
I have never believed that President Trump cares for any folks but those which serve his interests at any particular time. If those folks have any change of heart then they were always 'no good'.

For some Extreme Rightists, Right = Righteous, as in 'of or for God'.
Whereas for any who are less than far right, these become 'Leftist' which = 'Of or for Satan'.

No wonder they can insult us so badly with impunity??

And so a person who believes in Christ who supports care for all, medicine for all, homes for all etc.... these folks can actually be seen as bad, by extreme rightists.

Too little, too late. One police officer died because radical right wing trumpsters did as their dear leader told them too.

Yes. Many people believe very strongly that those supporters were motivated by previous speeches of President Trump. There were four deaths on Wednesday evening, we hear in the UK, and they were all sad losses.

Maybe we Brits view our political opponents differently? I don't often see people demonstrating against something that I support as 'enemy', I see them as people who believe in something differently to me. And so I wouldn't want to see all folks who went to Capitol Hill and entered Government buildings on Wednesday convicted of anything.

It IS different here...... Trespass here is not an immediate offence, although trespass in to certain buildings, ports, railways etc is.....

The way I see it, a trespasser would only commit a crime at the point where s/he assaulted anybody, bust anything, stole anything or sexually abused anybody. That's basically our definition of burglary..... and so the 70 odd arrests that have been reported out of hundreds of trespassers seems reasonable to me.

I do believe in a strong healthy opposition to any government because that strong alternative voice can sometimes save a situation, even a country, and so as soon as the Republicans can shake themselves down, pick themselves up and get back to being a part of the Governing system, that would be best, I reckon.

Well the Republicans were complicit and deservedly lost the power they had obtained. If the Dems can work with them, fine. However, I don’t see their input as necessary.

We Brits see it differently I think.
Our system depends upon a strong opposition on the other side of the House, with Shadow Secretaries for every part of Government.
The Speaker of the House gives them equal time in everything.

Ouch!
I've just seen President Trump on yet another film on BBC midday news.
He criticised all the protesters that were on or within the Capitol building of being criminals and said that they 'should pay' for what they did.
Whatever they did, they went there for him.
We have a term for it here.... 'chucking them under the bus'.

That won't help the situation that's happening now, I guess.

But since you have pointed in that direction, journalists are comparing the way that police handled a BLM protest in Washington with their response to white Trump Supporters last Wednesday.
The film's show quite a difference. I didn't think that was pertinent to this thread, but since you mentioned BLM......

Here it is.....
Is this what you wanted to bring our attention to?
Is this what you brought up to our notice?
There are many reports which cover this same story, many with accompanying films.

The contrast between the law enforcement reaction to the storming of the Capitol on Wednesday and the suppression of peaceful protests in the summer is not just stark – it is black and white.

The Black Lives Matter demonstrators crowd outside the White House on 1 June was a block away from the building and made no attempt to breach its security. It was a mostly Black crowd, and it was charged by a force made up of Washington police, US Park police, over 5,000 national guard troops and federal agencies like the Bureau of Prisons. An army helicopter swooped low over the heads of the protesters. Teargas, batons and horses were used to clear a block so that Donald Trump could stage a photo op outside a church across the road. A national guard commander later admitted there had been “excessive use of force”.

The events in Lafayette Park in June 2020 represented a defining moment of the Trump presidency. So will 6 January 2021. The mob that stormed the seat of US democracy on Wednesday had openly talked about such a plan, were explicitly intent on overturning a fair election, and some had hinted they might be carrying guns. They were almost all white. Many were openly white supremacists, and yet the thin Capitol police collapsed in their path.

The events in Lafayette Park in June 2020 represented a defining moment of the Trump presidency. So will 6 January 2021

...... and now President Trump has more or less disowned the crowd that he told 'I love you' on Wednesday evening.

I tell you what story that reminds me of.
The story of Jesus in Gethsemane on the night of his arrest.

Fake news
Ha ha!
What was fake news?
Your claim that the bullhorned man was antifa, now that's what fake news looks like. You're full of it.

So what was fake news here? The demonstration in Washington last Wednesday? President Trump saying that he 'loved them on the night, or denouncing them today? Or the Washington BLM march?

Yeah.......... your news is often fake news imo.
I wouldn't trust your news.

It's too late for all the obfuscation and deflection. Trump isn't criticizing any of his supporters. He's criticizing antifa and blm for they were the ones who broke into the Capitol building. The evidence is enough to convict on that.

There is enough video out that documents it to leave any doubt. And the woman who was shot in the Capitol building was the victim of a hit. She was seeing things she was not supposed to see so they murdered her in cold blood. Couldn't have her talking afterwards.

There are witnesses who saw busloads of antifa and blm people dressed as Trump supporters. And there is video of cops locking Trump supporters in their hotels. And video of the cops leading the way into the capitol building. The cops in DC hadn't cooperated with the Trump people at all up to this point. They had maced Trump supporters for asking that they uphold the law and arrest someone for assault battery on a Trump supporter. And now they are leading Trump supporters into the building and encouraging them on? Sorry. No go.

This was one massive false flag event. But it failed. Oh, you'll never hear the propaganda arm of the deep state and Democrats say it, but it's true. We're used to all the lies and manipulation coming from you socialists. We've observed you for decades and your tactics are very well known.

Trump has escaped your clutches just when you thought you had him once again.
