The Holy Spirit has always been in the world.

That's what you say, but that is not what Jesus said.

You don't really go by scripture do you?

"But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given because Jesus was not yet glorified." (John 7:39)

The Holy Spirit that Jesus was talking about came to the apostles on the day of Pentecost, Acts 2:17 also Acts 2:38.
