I remember thinking about this, I know our Spirit goes to God, but I wondered about the soul, and then I read that God has a soul.

Judges 10

And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the LORD: and his soul was grieved for the misery of Israel.

And also when Rachel died when giving birth to Benjamin, it says in the bible that her soul departed from her.

Why do you believe that our soul dies when our bodies return to the dust? Thanks

I don't.

1 Thessalonians 5:23
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

A soul is comprised of body and spirit.

The separation of which is death.

Did you say sin is of the flesh?

Yes. Which is why Christ came in the likeness of sinful flesh.....and condemned sin in the flesh.

Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

And, no, angels don't die.

Let's say for the sake of discussion that Satan is an angelic being.

"Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty;
You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor;
I cast you to the ground,
I laid you before kings,
That they might gaze at you.
You defiled your sanctuaries
By the multitude of your iniquities,
By the iniquity of your trading;
Therefore I brought fire from your midst;
It devoured you,
And I turned you to ashes upon the earth
In the sight of all who saw you.
All who knew you among the peoples are astonished at you;
You have become a horror,
And shall be no more forever." (Ezekiel 28:17-19)

Satan has been judged and forecast to be no more forever.

Well, we can certainly say what we think, but I'm not willing to make the leap.

Rev. 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Does that require a resurrection?

No, not according to my reading of scripture.

1 Corinthians 15:52
In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

When dead people are raised is that not a resurrection?
