This is a valid point you are making -- a rare occurrence. It is only a flawed point of reference. Compare it to the 20,000 arrests for domestic abuse of children that occurs annually.I'm not sure the numbers of those arrested are anywhere close to the numbers of those committing the crime.
I scanned the article but didn't see a reason for McConnell to be pushing this. Strategically he's got to be thinking about the midterms. What would be the strategic value in not opposing Biden's pic for SCOTUS?
Not opposing a Black woman nominee? Let me think! lolI scanned the article but didn't see a reason for McConnell to be pushing this. Strategically he's got to be thinking about the midterms. What would be the strategic value in not opposing Biden's pic for SCOTUS?
That's easily avoided. Just promote a conservative black female judge. Hammer Jackson on her record where she's soft, while proposing a black female conservative judge as a viable alternative. Not opposing a Black woman nominee? Let me think! lol
Yeah. That's easily avoided. Just promote a conservative black female judge.
They're just swapping one Dem justice for another one though. At the end of the day the Supreme Court 'scorecard' is still going to say 6-to-3 Republican advantage. I'm not sure Repubs will gain any independents for this year's midterms based on proposing a different Black woman judge with Republican values for a replacement nominee. Maybe.Hammer Jackson on her record where she's soft, while proposing a black female conservative judge as a viable alternative.
I missed this before. This has got to be one of the dumbest things I've ever seen come out of anybody's brain.Rising from the dead only proves someone can rise from the dead. Why are the particulars of anything else validated by that? Everything else needs independent verification.
You do not get basic logic.@JudgeRightly makes the bold claim that if Jesus really did rise from the dead, that Christianity is true.

My brain doesn't work that way.
I repeat. The dumbest.
It doesn't censored matter how much logic you know when you don't know a lick of rhetoric! Crack a book! I haven't read the rest of your post yet I'll wait for your reply, or I'll just read it later. You do not get basic logic.
Peace to you.In my observation your brain has not been capable of logic so far. You very verbosely say very little, and what you do say is often not rationally central the conversation you are engaged in.
I miraculous display has an emotional impact on many humans. However, cognitively complex persons do not become needlessly trapped by all-or-none thinking.

You need to reread that post. It was not directed to you.I'm not the one that made the claim.
1 Corinthians 15:12-19
12 Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. 14 And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. 15 Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up—if in fact the dead do not rise. 16 For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. 17 And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! 18 Then also those who have [c]fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.
Paul is the one who made the claim. If you have an issue with that reasoning, then you have some serious problems with your theology.
Calling Paul dumb isn't a good idea.
