It's hard to keep a straight face or attempt a serious answer to this question. Spam is the Internet equivalent of unsolicited telemarketing calls or junk mail.
Spam is 99% of the time, in the eye of the beholder. So there's not going to be an objective definition. One mans spam is another mans bacon.
I was spam queen when I had a poetry blog....I put a lovely little spam on Wiki, although my poetry blog is long gone my dirty little spam rides on in triumph and has been copied into every online encylopedia and 10s of THOUSANDS of other music and literary pages.
Of COURSE I am now ashamed.....
Spam is self promotion...if no one else will promote you, you gotta promote yourself right?
At any rate I used to get many visits to my blog.
