No Michael, imo that is simply an empty assertion from believers to cover for the rather obvious lack of Godly presence, which is no different from there actually being no God.
Are you really claiming that something existing or not depends on us being able to see it with our eyes? Our eyes' capability actually only extends to a small portion of the electromagnetic spectrum.
It's easy to test the wind, but I can't test for gods Michael. :nono:
But the wind and air isn't magical or unfathomable, it exists as surely as a steel girder and conforms to all the laws of physics.

Englishmen are made of tea, beer, fish, potato chips and calcium carbonate from the water. Englishmen from Bradford often have additional curry.
Much of the world is basically the same. But in some parts the men are made of substantially more curry, and in those places it is even more difficult to get them to align their destiny with the Judeo-christian dictator.
I hope that gives you pause for thought concerning your own beliefs. What if you yourself were made of more curry than average?

I am sorry that I nothing I say to you can make you see the truth. Why do you think that God's people outnumber atheists by 4 to 1, or maybe a lot more. Why do you think that??!!
It's fruitless for me to bring it up. I still love you because you seem to be definitely wonderful people to me. As time passes, we will discover God (who makes Himself seen {like the wind} through the man, His Son, Jesus Christ.). We will discover Him just like we discovered an atom, or a new cure for the flu, or a distant star or sun. You will see. I must admit that I do include the nasty side of not believing in God, but it is written in His Word and it's a bit disconcerting and scary, right?? You don't just die and that's it. A soul does not die. The Spirit inside it doesn't die. God made it all that way. It is impermeable to death. But it can live for eternity in a nice place or a not-so-nice place. You won't die and that's it. You just wish that. It's not that easy. What purpose would there be for that?? Don't you think that this life has more to offer than just living for 12 years or 70 years?? It's hopeless, I'm afraid.
You don't have to believe. I'm banging my head against a wall. Alwight, Hedshaker, Stuart, of course you can believe what you want to. Regardless of the outcome. It's choice.

I really thought that what I said to him would change his mind. But I see I am up against it and so that's that. I'd like to say it won't happen again, and I have this feeling that I'm right. It's going to happen again, but not by flood. God said He'd never do flood again, and you can trust His word. He won't flood the whole earth ever again.
Also, maybe I meant the Christians outnumber the atheists by 10 to 1. I don't have any numbers. That's not even counting the Muslims. Most Muslims I know are relatives or friends, but they would turn against Israel in a second, so I don't want to associate with them. Few of them have the guts to stand up for Israel. But there are some. Thanks to the Christian Arabs, which I know of a few indeed. Sorry to go on.

Yup. That is exactly what is going on. You like to see other people post their fantasy stories about their gods because it makes you feel better about believing nonsense. But that's not just you, it's every christian posting on ToL. If they were secure in their crackpot beliefs in Imaginary Friends then they wouldn't be posting here.

The only best thing that could happen to me would be to wrap up preparing for the Lord's Return because He is already returning. That would make my lifetime!!

Good. Now you might understand how I feel about christians not stopping at controlling their own behaviour but telling everyone else how they should behave.
By the way, I am on Jesus's side. I think the gospel writers, whoever they were, have abused him by making up a christ myth and dumping it on him. That's the vicious attack, actually.

Thanks for your reply. It sounds sincere enough to me. When you're in Paradise, you'll certainly know it. This here is a place in-between. Yes there have been a number of nasty Christians who've tried to seduce others into cults, like Jim Jones, or the rest of them. The gospel writers did their best to tell what happened during Jesus' life on Earth, and that's why the four gospels are so similar.
Heaven is not a fantasy for simpletons. You will find that out too soon enough. Jesus is coming soon for those who love Him or want Him. He forgave the thief who was dying on the cross next to Him, so I'm sure He has some room for you too, Stuart. He's got a big heart. I'm sorry I'm getting on so late tonight, but I fell asleep. In the same hour that Jesus died, there was a great earthquake there, and the temple was rent in two, I believe. So you can be sure that God was letting them all know how He felt about it all.

What do you think about 'souls'?? I could find out myself, but it does make a good task for all of us to chip in on. (See Dan. 12:3, 12:13). Do they go to heaven. See Rev. 6:9, "And I saw under the altar, the 'souls' of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held (what they had witnessed, i.e. their 'testimony'). We can conclude that our Souls, who make it to Heaven, are definitely there. So I guess I blew that question already. Sorry, did I do that?? Really, I didn't plan this. I do know that God made it so spirit would never die. So what's that mean?? Splain this to me, Lucy!
