Thank you for your update.

I am not surprised that Trump has a hidden agenda. But Hilary is not good choice either.

Most people don't know what the world leaders are working for. What we hear are just façade.

That's why Jesus says His people are not of the world. Politics are of the world. His people should not get involved with the politics.

We are fooling ourselves believing we are saved without knowing and following Jesus' word.

Bless you LA.

today they celebrated veterans day at my granddaughters school -
she is in the 1st grade -
she introduced me -
as did many others -
I was never prouder to be a veteran -
we talked about freedom and how we have to fight for it even though we sometimes make mistakes

what a difference a day makes
-
you may not be old enough to remember that song -
the day scalia died I lost all hope -
the best we could do was hold on to the house and the states -
election day it looked like we might hold the senate -
the day after we had it all -
including a chance to get the court back -
I am hopeful but not optimistic about trump
-but-
the democrats are now the ones scrambling to save their party

Well, no. They appear to have more of the electorate than your party does. They simply couldn't get them excited enough to support Hillary. Now the Democrats are in a position to play spoiler with the Republicans and, for the first time in a very long while, the Republicans are going to have to have ideas beyond "No." It will be interesting to see if they learned anything from watching the Democrats in Obama's first term...and to see what the Dems learned as well.

that plus $1.85 will get you coffee at starbucks
How late were you coming up with that one. :plain: The point being your notion that having more than half the electorate voting with them and losing the White House by a glorified bit of pseudo gerrymandering equates with scrambling to save a party is 99.9% wishful thinking. You've got better things to worry about, like what your candidate/now president will do for or to your party.

you mean -
what he might do to the country
-and-
you should be worried about that
-as far as our party goes
-it has never look this good

by now you should know that my primary concern is abortion
Then why didn't you vote Trump, who declared the party line? I suspect you know that there's not much for your party to do at present. TRAP laws are state advanced and the viability foundation established in Roe remains the standard. Federal funding has been culled to fairly tight restrictions, ones favored by just about every candidate to run for the White House, party planks notwithstanding.

-and-
the republican party is our only hope when it comes to restricting it
In what way?
