Are you saying it would be logically impossible for him to be lost again?

logically, no, mans logic does all kinds of things to force fit scripture into their beliefs, Spiritually though, yes, it would impossible for one actually saved, to be lost again, it would make God a liar.

Hebrews 7:25 Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

Yes, He is able to save forever.

And man is able to reject the gift.
No one goes to Heaven against their own will.

Proper Protestantism (Lutheranism, Calvinism) tackles the issue of falling in and out of grace. OSAS is a very holy doctrine that excludes the possibility of God saving and then condemning a person.

It is also a particularly harsher doctrine than what many people try to read it is- it doesn't mean that you can do as you please and still reap salvation.

Agreed. However, i don't believe that Calvinists called it osas, they call it perseverance of the saints.

Satan rejected God in heaven

Man can't?

Nope. Because God has declared that nothing impure will ever enter Heaven. Man, before entering Heaven, will be completely purified, purged of the stain of sin and any attachment to sin. A human being in Heaven simply will not will to sin.

Once you have it, in Heaven, you can't lose it.

But if you're not there yet...
That's not what the Bible teaches.

Eph 2:4-10 (AKJV/PCE)
(2:4) But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, (2:5) Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) (2:6) And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus: (2:7) That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in [his] kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. (2:8) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: (2:9) Not of works, lest any man should boast. (2:10) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Paul tells us that we are ALREADY sitting in heavenly places, but you say that we might get kicked out. I'll stick with scripture.

yes, able to reject it but not once it has been received. We are not more powerful than God, He died for us, His love is endless. Why do you desire again to be in bondage to a law you couldnt keep and needed a Savior for?

Did He not do enough that you need to assist?

Luther never believed in a thing like osas directly; it was rather deduced in his teachings. See, he believed that the only way a saved person could be condemned is if he rejected God later on. Luther is a sort of buffer between Catholics and Protestants.

And that's when John Calvin entered the ring and declared a certain predestination of men- if you're saved, the light of God bled through you from the start.

In other words, true Christians are God's preordained elect, which Calvin explains in his theology.

A4T is correct. Calvinists believe saving grace is permanent.

OSAS implies salvation becomes automatic due to human decision made, but Calvists believe salvation is permanent and therefore eternal because it comes from the will and promise of eternal God.

Also, this permanent state of grace is the very providence and work of God.

God keeps and preserves those He loves unto eternal life . . that is His Covenant promise, which He cannot and will not fail to keep.

He will not lose a single soul for whom Jesus died. John 6:37-39

It seems that High Cherub will not be able to answer.

Maybe Angel4Truth or Right Divider can.

Can someone believe they are saved, but not actually be saved?
