Why make the assertion that those who disagree with you are seeking their own righteousness? Why not read the Bible to see all those who were righteous in the OT. Those who died waiting for the promise of the righteousness of Jesus to redeem them?

Plenty of People were Righteous in the O T but it was not their own Righteousness , it was the Righteousness of God imputed! Man by nature is not righteous Rom 3:10!

There is a difference between those of the Old Testament and AD in the Kingdom. The Former relied upon their works, while those born of the Kingdom rely upon God. To say they were righteous would to include them in the unity and works that could only come through Christ.
Jesus made this distinction clear.
"Truly I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he." John 11:11

All pre-and post Christ had/have to rely upon God in faith.

Heb.ch 11.

Context, context.

Isaiah's context was the Law of Moses the same as Paul's context when he said there is none righteous.

The law was also Peter's context when he said, "Now therefore, why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?" (Acts 15:10 NKJV)

Both Abel and Abraham lived before the Law of Moses. These men were righteous in the context of the covenant that Moses placed in the ark of the covenant.

Truly you don't understand that it was not by any works of man's righteousness that could reconcile man with God because Adam's transgression could not be canceled out by any such "works of man's righteousness". Someone with a greater righteousness could only accomplish such a task. Do you understand? What did God say to Cain before Cain killed Abel?
