The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

The "contradiction" you are talking about is not a contradiction because uphill and downhill are relative terms. The Mississippi River is flowing "downhill" relative to sea-level (in general). However, relative to a specific "level" (sea level at the north and south pole), it is flowing...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Dave, There's a small amount of discussion on a Globe earth on yesterday's BEL show. http://kgov.com/bel/20170214 You may want to listen. Sent from my Pixel XL using TheologyOnline mobile app

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

So what about the fact that the sea level at the equator is 21.36km farther from the center of the earth than sea level at the poles? Am I mistaken about that? And what about the physics stack exchange link I provided? Sent from my Pixel XL using TheologyOnline mobile app

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

I realize now what I forgot to add to the second image. The bottom line of the lower triangle represents the distance from the center of the earth to the surface "height" of the poles. The left vertical line represents the height difference of the above to the height of sea level, which is...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

My truck was parked on a hill, with the nose pointing towards the sky. The parking lot dips towards the back. The only reason the horizon rises up to "eye level" is because I'm in a small valley. The terrain is nowhere near flat. Completely irrelevant, as I'm in a valley and the terrain is not...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

You're not comprehending what I'm saying. I'm saying that while, relative to "sea level", the river is indeed flowing downhill, but relative to the center of the earth (the earth's core), the river is flowing uphill, as the equator is "higher" (read "farther away from the center of the earth")...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Not sure what you're saying here.... could you clarify? Wrong yet again. Distance from the center of the earth to the surface of the oceans/seas is sea level. "A horizontal plane (the ocean surface) or line with respect to the distance above or below a given point (the center of the earth)."...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Wrong. While it does run (in relation to sea level ONLY) 'downhill,' from an elevation of 450m to 0m above sea level, it does actually go uphill, in relation to the entire earth. I give the reason why below. Notice how they only say "above sea level"? Well, here's the shocker: Dave, sea level...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

The Mississippi Flows uphill. It's source is closer to the center of the earth than it's mouth. The only way it flows uphill is from centrifugal force. http://physics.stackexchange.com/questions/209805/rivers-that-flow-uphill-due-to-earths-rotation Sent from my Pixel XL using TheologyOnline...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

NOPE. We [I]just[/] showed you how water can and does run uphill. All movement of an object is in contrast to another object that can appear to be stationary. There is no absolute way to figure out if something is not moving at all, as any measurements you would take of such an object would be...

Dave, we've been through this. I'm not going to reply to it again. Actually I will, but this will be the last time. I want you, Dave, to take out a digital camera (your phone camera will work, if you have a phone with a camera, even better if you can manually control the amount of light that is...
