In the Navy I have flown a number of times in the P-3 Orion. From that plane I could see the curvature of the Earth.

I also work with a Paint program. This is a computer altered image. It isn't an actual photo.

I would be more inclined to trust your Dad. I also trust my senses more than these knucklehead conspiracy theories. I have flown in aircraft quite a bit during my years the Navy and seen the curvature of the Earth. No one is going to tell me that eyes lie about something like that.
