The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Dave, if the earth is a globe, then it doesn't matter how far a plane flies, it will never have the ground "slowly drop beneath it" unless it's gaining altitude, hence my question, can a plane start by flying horizontally, and eventually nose up until it's flying vertically? Which just...

Dave, If you want discussion, answer the questions that are put to you.

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Answer the questions, Dave: Can a plane fly sideways? Can a plane go from flying horizontally to flying vertically?

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Just answer the question Dave. I'm not going to let you avoid this. Can a plane fly sideways? Can a plane slowly bring it's nose up and go from flying horizontally to flying vertically?

"Ballistic" means nothing to him because he rejects the concept of gravity.

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Can it fly sideways? Dave, can a plane slowly bring it's nose up and go from flying horizontally to flying straight up vertically?

Saying something doesn't make it true, Dave. Show how I'm wrong, please.

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Dave, for someone who doesn't even think that gravity exists, you sure do have a lot of opinions of how it does NOT work. If a plane is always level, and gravity is pulling down on it constantly, and it's flying in a straight path, it will always be at the "top" of the "hill" that is the...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Dave, I said a plane. I didn't say spaceship or space ramp. I said plane. If a plane is flying along a straight path along the equator, it's not going to see any drop, because it's not changing it's "attitude," or pitch.

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Dave, just a quick question: Do you even own a telescope?

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Dave, to put that into perspective, on a round earth, a plane traveling at 600 mph would take 44.5 (give or take) hours to circle the earth at the equator (about 24,901 miles in circumference), traveling in a straight line. Do you really think that such an adjustment would be noticable? Edit...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

What do you want, Dave, pictures of people getting their picture taken next to a galaxy? You do realize that the nearest galaxy to us is 70,000 light-years away, right? (not including our own Milky Way, which has a diameter of 100,000 light-years) That means that it takes light 70,000 years...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Dave, are you saying that all Christians who believe the earth is round must also believe in the Big Bang and evolution? Also, do you mean multiple universes? Because there are in fact many billions of galaxies...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Because the camera is "fixed" in relation to the paper/rigging. See my above comment for a better argument. In other words, I get what you're saying, but it's not a very strong argument.

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Dave, again, I make the argument that if the curvature is ONLY due to the type of lens used, then if the horizon is truly flat, then the horizon should bend up and down equal amounts throughout the entire video. I can almost guarantee you though ("almost" because I haven't calculated it myself)...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Explain why a Foucault Pendulum works as if the earth is round if the earth is, as you say, flat. For those who don't know what a Foucault Pendulum is, you can Google it, or just know that it's something that demonstrates the rotation of the earth by swinging a pendulum over one point. It does...

The earth is flat and we never went to the moon

Incorrect. You could fly in a straight line around the equator and NEVER (unless the world froze) run into any ice walls. In fact, you could fly in a number of straight lines (as long as your flights never cross 60 degrees north or south of the equator on a globe. Did you forget about the...
