I'm pretty sure that's NOT why some are here.

If we're entitled to our own opinions, who's actually in error? Right and wrong are only simple if there's 100% agreement in those opinions, which there never is, else there wouldn't be a need for this conversation. Or if there's a standard we can all turn to that will tell us what's right vs...

Sure I do. Whereas from what you've written, there's nothing about yours that can't be changed with a change of "leadership".

Just like anyone who makes up his own standards of right and wrong is not trustworthy to judge right vs wrong. So why does it bother you so much when someone does it different than you?

The Flood is proof of the Creation

I suppose there are some things about pruning that would strengthen the root system, which would make me think bigger roots, not smaller. Not pruning might result in too many branches for the root system, so it might blow over in a storm, if they had storms before the flood.

That doesn't mean God's happy about what they're doing and wants to reward them, right? And it was only 80 years before the law.

Are you saying Adam's tending of the garden would have prevented the tree's roots from growing too big or too deep?

What about women? Exodus 1:15-21 (KJV) 15 And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one [was] Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah: 16 And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see [them] upon the stools; if it [be] a son...

Is there any obvious evidence today for the biblical global Flood?

Even with your reading, this isn't true. Genesis 1:9-10 (KJV) 9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven (remember he had just defined "firmament" as "heaven", which you say was the earth's crust and now he's using the word as defined) be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry...

Moral compass was your sidebar. My example illustrates the folly of everybody doing what is right in his own eyes and expecting righteous results.

Again, if Adam is doing what he was told to do, and Eve isn't, it isn't rape. It might be something else... Adam's actions after she refused might include some punishment, I suppose, but the act that was already commanded (be fruitful and multiply), isn't the punishment. That kind of thinking...

What about Eve? Did she have the "right" to say "no" even after God commanded "Be fruitful and multiply"?

How can you prove the map is your design when you go to court if everything on the map is exactly what's there in real life--making both maps of identical content? You do realize it was taking the copier to court that caused this conversation to be started in the first place, right?
