Does man naturally have ability to Seek God ?

So it is God's fault anybody goes to hell. I don't believe that.

    Doctrine of Unconditional Election

How does scripture say they were "blood washed"? If they didn't believe, they won't be saved. They had to do something for their own good. There will be no unbelievers in heaven.

Does man naturally have ability to Seek God ?

If God has turned them they don't need to turn to Him of themselves. And you end up with a "church" full of the unturned from sin. It must be easy to be a Calvinist, as there is nothing to believe. Christianity on the other hand, has much to believe in in order to be found in the book of life on...

Mortal sin, free will, and going to Communion

It "alludes to" meeting together. What do the next five verses "allude to"? It is written..."For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, 27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which...

Mortal sin, free will, and going to Communion

Things like..."Go and sin no more"? Things like..."Pray for your enemies and do good unto them", and "Turn the other cheek",? Your false teachers bless bombs for the military ! Where are we taught that it must be on any certain day? I have no problems with Jesus or with you. It is false...

Mortal sin, free will, and going to Communion

Where in the bible are we told to call some guy "father"? Where in the bible are we told not to eat meet on Fridays? Where in the bible are we taught that the leaders must wear outrageous gowns and hats? Your bishops teach thing condemned in the bible.

Mortal sin, free will, and going to Communion

As your teaching isn't in the bible, it is obviously not something the Lord had His bishops preach. That being said, it is a false teaching and of the devil. Another false teaching contrary to what the word of God teaches is that the bishops can't marry. Not to mention that they are to be blameless.

    Doctrine of Unconditional Election

I am glad I chose to believe so God would "shine the light of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ" to me. (2 Cor 4:6) From the beginning, God knew that it would take belief of the truth and sanctification of the Spirit for me to be saved. Are we on earth able to distinguish the...

Does man naturally have ability to Seek God ?

I read this at McDonalds tonight and it made me think of your POV... "And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: 14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken...

    Question on Older Theology Thinking

Think of it this way. If your topic is important to God, it will not be lost. If it is not important to God, it will blow away with the rest of the dust of man's invention.

    Question on Older Theology Thinking

Hi Dale. Welcome to the site. I don't have an answer for your quest, but anyone who fails to see we have free will doesn't seem to understand that we will be judged for OUR choices on the last day. Not for God's choices, but our own choices. This is how I see "predestination"... If you choose...

check 1 Cor 5:5 that Paul wrote

There we go. "Tomb". As hades can be used for the term tomb, figuratively, it doesn't imply that hades is really a place Jesus descended into. I think we are talking about two different uses of a figurative event that don't really correspond with each other. "Lower parts of the earth". Both a...

check 1 Cor 5:5 that Paul wrote

Who knows if they weren't interchangeable expressions back when it was translated? I agree. But are you not doing the same thing? Show another use besides the one Derf points to...(which causes me to ask...who exactly was "formed in hades" as per his citing?) The day of judgement will be the...
