I think that Anna's point about SOD and how he acts in his profession applied because of the way he makes excuses for his behavior on *this* forum.

FTR, Angel, I don't really expect you, Bybee, TH or any of my other Christian friends to see homosexuality or fornication as anything other than a sin. Not a problem. I disagree, but understand that it's part of your religious beliefs. Unless one is actually trying to harm others by making these actions illegal and punishable by death or imprisonment, it really is nothing more than an opinion I disagree with.

The reason SOD is being taken to task on that thread is because he has made claims that he is praying for us ... even going so far as initiating threads asking others to pray for Zoo.

He actually sent me a huge pic of Jesus in my rep box. I wouldn't mind something like that if it was via PM or in my comment section but as a rep, it is obnoxious, not to mention hypocritical. Considering the names he has called including telling me how much he will enjoy seeing me burn in hell (is well as others) is exactly WHY threads like these are initiated.

Seriously, IF he truly believes so strongly that what he is doing is right, why not take it to his everyday life where the majority of individuals are most less likely to be Christians rather than on a Christian discussion board?

I really don't think this is about making claims that something is a *sin* but rather about the nastiness that goes along with that message.

I agree ... it's never made the claim, and I have argued that point as well. However, just because something is accepted, doesn't mean it's always okay. Treating others like slime (I am not referring to you here) because they disagree on minor differences (such as religion, sexuality, etc.) is always wrong, morally.

I don't *demand* that you do anything. I also do not believe that you are anything like certain others than I have mentioned previously. I am commenting specifically on Anna's thread and really don't see any comparison as to the actions and words on TOL which are intolerant.

I believe you give more grief to people such as Anna (one of the nicest people on this forum) as compared to those such as Koban and ACW.

As for holding your responsible for THEIR actions, well Angel, that would be every bit as silly as blaming nonbelievers or gays responsible for all the atrocities of the world.

WE are all responsible for our own shortcomings.

I am doing fairly well. I always *feel* better when the weather is warmer because I am able to get out and walk twice a day.

As far as ever being able to leave the grief behind, it won't happen, however, it does get easier. Just rely on your God, family and friends, Angel ... we are here and want to help in any way we can.
