Climate change could be REDUCING the likelihood of tropical cyclones: Study shows frequency decreased by about 13% in the 20th century

  • Experts: Climate change appears to be reducing likelihood of tropical cyclones
  • Annual number of such storms decreased by 13 per cent during 20th century
  • Australian researchers compared this period with one between 1850 and 1900
  • For most tropical cyclone basins, this decline has accelerated since the 1950s

"New Study From The Heartland Institute Finds 96% of NOAA Temperature Sensors are Corrupted, Thereby Leaving the U.S. Temperature Record “Fatally Flawed”

“The report observed that changes in the technology of temperature stations over time resulted in many being placed closer to buildings, as well as other heat sinks such as asphalt, concrete, and brick infrastructure. In some cases, official NWS thermometers were moved to parking lots and next to external heat-generating air conditioner units from previously cooler locations.

In conclusion, the rate of warming as measured by unperturbed surface stations, USCRN, and UAH does not
represent a climate crisis.”"

I heard that temp records of the last few years, and still continuing today, are determined by both actual measurements and when a measurement is unavailable it gets reported using computer models. What is questionable is the large number of stations that are listed as non-reporting to the tune of 50% or more. These stations are very mature technology and very robust so there isn't a reason why so many are not reporting.
