"Son of Man"

The son of man was IN Jesus and spoke through him. Only the son of man came down from above. But you will not see it because your mind has been closed. Hint: study the express image of Heb1:3.
Are you saying that Jesus was double-minded?

"There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all."
I had to go and and check and see why you were quoting a passage that opposes the trinitarian view. I just had to come to the conclusion that you didn't understand the passage.

One Lord -

1 Corinthians 8:6 NLT
But for us,

There is one God, the Father,
by whom all things were created,
and for whom we live.

And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ,
through whom all things were created,
and through whom we live.

For Paul, the Lord is Jesus.

One faith - in Jesus

One baptism - by God's Spirit.

One God and Father of all, who is above all - God is also called the Father. He is above all - including Jesus.
"These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens"
Translations put LORD in all caps to signify that the Old Testament used the word YHWH. YHWH is never used as a title for Jesus.
"In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him"
By definition, the image is not the same as the original. Adam was also the image of God. The difference is that while Adam attempted to become the equal of God, Jesus knew that this was not possible and so humbled himself and obeyed God even to death on a cross.

In the next part, the second creation is discussed. Jesus is the first-born of the new creation. And through him all new things will be made.
You lose, get over it, and move on with your worthless life, until the "day" when God tosses you in the lake of fire.
Mark 8:35 NLT
If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it.

And therefore, Jesus is God.

"He that hath seen me (Jesus) hath seen the Father"
Are you claiming Jesus = Father?

Also read the following verse.

John 14:10 KJV
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Also

John 14:20 KJV
At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

Jesus is not both Son and Father.

"that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him" (John 5:23).

Not a question for you, but hopefully you've been following along.

What you said means that when OZOS quoted me saying "God is also called the Father."

and then said
And therefore, Jesus is God.

"He that hath seen me (Jesus) hath seen the Father"
He can't make the conclusion that Jesus is God because Jesus isn't the Father.

The point is Colossians 1:15-18. Jesus is the Creator, God. If you have seen the Son, you have seen the Creator, God.

Not the point OZOS was making in print.

That being said Colossians 1:15 slaughters the trinitity. Jesus is the firstborn of all creation precludes him from pre-existing before all creation.

Being the image of the one true God precludes one from being the one true God.

I've already mentioned Paul's explanation of the second creation.

Hilltrot,

"Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which translated means, "God with us."

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

"He that hath seen me hath seen the Father"

"I and my Father are one"

"One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

"For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily."

"Thomas answered and said to Him, "My Lord and my God!"

"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty....

..And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as a dead man. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying, "Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore"

"I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God."

"Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.
"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the immoral persons and the murderers and the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices lying. "I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches"

"And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God"

Jesus =

  • Lord God
  • Alpha and Omega
  • First and Last
  • Beginning and End
  • Almighty
  • Mighty God
  • Everlasting Father
  • Lord
  • God
"I am the Lord, and there is no other; Besides Me there is no God.”

To say otherwise is to have never "called upon the name of the Lord".

You have another Jesus, that saves no one.

But does Jesus = Father?
The way I understand it is God is spirt, he is the source of subordinate deities in whom he invests powers and authority.

Jesus is a son of the Father....a chip off the ole block. To us they are all One, they are all God.

The closest we can get to knowing God the Father as a personality is Jesus.

The old heretic continues to tell his lies.

No, old heretic, Jesus was not "taken over by the Christ"... Jesus IS the Christ.

Your mind is so open that your brains fell out.

I've explained the "express image" to you MANY times and still you cannot understand the truth. Satan has full control over your "open mind".

Jesus existed BEFORE the creation. Jesus is THE CREATOR of ALL THINGS.
Joh 17:5 KJV And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
Col 1:15-17 KJV Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: (16) For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: (17) And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

So, what Peter said about Jesus was false?
No, it was 100% true and had nothing to do with the gospel that Christ gave to Paul AFTER those events.
How about Paul?

Acts 20:21 NLT
I have had one message for Jews and Greeks alike—the necessity of repenting from sin and turning to God, and of having faith in our Lord Jesus.
Romans 10:9 NLT
[9] If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Nothing here about Jesus being the one true God either.
Paul says that there is ONE LORD... is it your claim that the LORD GOD is not LORD?
