Covid Vaccination: I'm getting my first dose on Thursday

There are times when you have to give up on part of your liberty for the good of your community and country. Every soldier does that when he signs up. Every 16 year old who gets a drivers license does that when he agrees to follow traffic laws.

These are unusual times, and that requires unusual, though temporary means.
Just a few things that are a bit tangent...

People like me, and there are more people tested in the US than Israel as far as I can tell, have antibodies so there is no reason to get the vaccine even if it were a real threat for my demographic. We will get counted by people like you as grandma killers when we have no reason to get the vaccine even if you shame us.

Your analogy to car driving doesn't make sense as follows: there was no freedom to drive a car before giving up that freedom to drive a car. You should drop the car analogy since the government, in essence, owns the roads.

A soldier gives up his freedom like any other employee. Volunteerism is the opposite of the forced trade you propose of freedom for security. You should be smart enough to realize the exact same argument you use to mandate vaccines (and by mandate I don't mean hold someone down and jab them, I mean keep them from traveling or transacting unless they get the jab "voluntarily") can be used to justify places like North Korea murdering people. They even murder grandmas in North Korea, so that makes you...

And, lastly, COVID isn't as bad as the flu and does not deserve any freedoms to be given up for it by your definition.

There will be no front page reporting of adverse reactions to the vaccine because that wouldn't fit the narrative. This can be proved because there will be undoubtedly at least a few reactions, but not even those will be reported when that should be seen as obvious information we would all like to know. Just try and find the reaction rate data it will be like trying to find the death rate data when cases became the narrative indicator - not impossible to find, just very hard. And with such a track record of lying like that, the MSM should be considered to be lying unless there is separate evidence showing otherwise. But only wise people will understand that. Smart people like you will prefer the lies they tell.

1620 people died of Covid in the UK yesterday.
The new strain is much more infectious which is why 50000 people tested positive yesterday.

Not good.

This post was a reaction to me saying "And, lastly, COVID isn't as bad as the flu and does not deserve any freedoms to be given up for it by your definition."

This non-reply actually is a reflection of your horrible nature.

You're an idiot. All that needs to happen to create a "wave" of infections is twiddle with the ct threshold of the PCR test. You've been shown this time after time and you still report "waves" of infections and numbers of people who test positive as if they are factual numbers. Those numbers are nothing but fake news and always have been.

Here's a report out of Germany that shows just how fake the numbers are. It was published by a group of scientists who are suing Germany over accepting PCR testing without any peer review, and accepting PCR testing in a 24 hour time period. No chance for anyone to say anything about it. Proposal one day, acceptance the next. Just real scientific. Right?

That works out to 11.1 severe reactions for every million vaccinations, compared to 1.3 reactions for every million flu vaccinations.
***shakes head in amazement***

What do you call your style of argument? Argument from ignorance?

These vaccines have only been out for a very short time and the number of severe reactions is already multiples of reactions to flu vaccines which have been out for decades. And you really think the rate at which severe side effects show up on a vaccine that was rushed through in 1/10 the normal time is going to go down as the length of time extends? That's the opposite of reality. The longer a vaccine is out the more side effects become apparent. It's just like with drugs. The longer they are out in the public and the more people who take them the more side effects become known.

That's one reason your promotion of vaccines in comparison to your opposition to HCQ is so ludicrous. HCQ has been on the market for 70+ years and is known to have very few side effects. It's safety record is so well-known it is sold over the counter in nations that have a malaria problem. It's safer than aspirin. And yet you support vaccines that are known to have very limited testing and very short development time.

Oh, nothing could go wrong there!

Ah- I forgot that in a Free Country like the USA, one will never get fined for crossing the street wrong. And there never has been a draft into the army. Not are people forced to pay taxes.

Other countries, being less free, have to deal with such things. We are jealous of you.

The thing is= the vaccines work. HCQ doesn't.
Have a nice day.

Yup. The government there is doing just what the US does. They apply any death to the covid count. According to the CDC the US had .9% more deaths in 2020 than it had in 2019, which had .9% more deaths than in 2018. The numbers track like that except for some time around 2015 at which time the increase dropped to .8% and followed that trajectory for several previous years.

So, how did the US have 300,000 or so deaths from the coronavirus when total deaths were only 61,000 greater than the year before? And that included increased deaths from suicide and drug overdoses over and above 2019 levels.

Start doing some deep dives on mortality statistics rather than just swallowing whole anything the press tells you. Think and research for yourself.
