Brit government becoming Nazi-like

How do you come to this conclusion, that guns are a God given right?
See how people that cannot defend their position resort to lying about what others say?
I never said that!

But, it is a logical result of the GOD GIVEN RIGHT TO SELF DEFENSE.

Just looking at these stats, I feel much safer living in the UK.
What's missing from those stats is the inconvenient fact that the overwhelming proportion of gun murders in the United States are perpetrated upon young male negroes by other young male negroes. If you're not a young male negro in America you really don't have much to worry about in terms of random gun violence.

He's probably read the book "How to lie with statistics".

I have lived in the UK for 70 years. When I walk into town, I never have to worry that some unhinged person walking by me might be carrying a gun. I never worry about having a gun near me when I go to bed. I live in peace with these feelings.

It wont be a revolution, it will be a civil war, it will be Americans who have the right to power fighting against other Americans who think they have the right to rule.

If you live in fear of those things happening in the US, then they are your own fears. I don't have these fears; I put my trust in God.
I have lived in the US just about as many years as you have lived in Britain. I've never experienced a moments fear thinking I'm going to get shot walking down the streets. The only time anyone has that fear is when they walk down the streets of cities that have unconstitutional gun control laws. That's where people get shot all the time. You know, like Londoners get stabbed on regular basis, or have acid thrown on them by some psycho.

No. It will be a revolution for the government will be fighting on the side that is against liberty. You know, people like you.

That you have no fear of your government tells me you don't have much of an idea of what's going on around you and how any liberty you have left is disappearing very quickly. Your government is already telling you when you can travel inside your own country, where you can go inside your own country, how you can move about in your own country, and is mandating a pass just so that if you don't have the right documentation you're stuck at home. In case you don't remember the citizens of the Soviet Union and Red China face those same restrictions for decades. Since the Soviet Union is gone Russians don't face the same level of restrictions they did, but passes and documentations are still required for a Chinese citizen to travel about in their own country. See, you can't recognize it but you're already under a totalitarian government. It is treating you just like communist governments treated their own people. And your government is saying they are going to control you even more than they do now. Oh, doesn't that just make you feel even safer?

The greatest commandments are to love God and neighbour. We are to love and pray for our enemies; and turn the other cheek.
I always love the misuse of scripture. According to your bogus interpretation, we should simply hand over everything to the thief and simply let the murderer kill us. That is asinine.

Were you not aware that you can love your neighbor and still defend yourself against his aggression?

Sorry, I was not aware that Jesus travelled with a sword. Where does this come from?
Whereas Jesus had earlier told His apostles not to carry money or weapons, He later told them this:
Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. (Luke 22:36 [KJVPCE]

Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. (Luke 22:36 [KJVPCE]

And Jesus goes on to say that two swords is enough between all of them. And when it comes time to use the swords, Jesus tells them to stop after they cut of the ear and he heals the man. Jesus said, those who live by the sword die by the sword.

The message seems clear to me, the disciples were given permission to carry a sword, but Jesus did not want them to use it in his defence.

I can see that no matter what evidence is shown to you that you don't believe the people have the right to self-defense.

You've received a very coveted position on my ignore list.

The evidence you have shown is when Jesus says that the disciples can share two swords between all of them. And when they try to use these same swords to defend Jesus, he rebukes them. Even when Jesus's life is at risk, he says put your swords away.

Justice can rarely happen here on Earth. When someone is murdered, they could give the killer the death sentence, but that does not bring the victim back. True justice is not that two people should die, rather it is that no one should die. Only God can raise the dead and give true justice.

The evidence you have shown is when Jesus says that the disciples can share two swords between all of them.

Well, no, only if you take it woodenly literally.

The fact that he says to buy a sword at all says people have the right to purchase weapons.

The number of swords per people is another matter.

And when they try to use these same swords to defend Jesus, he rebukes them. Even when Jesus's life is at risk, he says put your swords away.

I want you to think about what you just said, for a moment. Then consider this: What was Jesus' objective?

Justice can rarely happen here on Earth.

Only because there are currently very few good laws in place.

When someone is murdered, they could give the killer the death sentence,

They should.

but that does not bring the victim back.

No, but it does meet the demands of justice, which is "life for life."

True justice is not that two people should die, rather it is that no one should die.

False.

True justice is that if you take a life, you should lose your life.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Only God can raise the dead

True.

and give true justice.

God tells judges to show no pity to criminals. That's so that they get as close to justice for the victims as possible.

Did you verbally defend yourself? If you had a gun, you'd be in an excellent position to defend yourself.
Even when confronted by a group of lads and one held a knife against my throat, I was able to defend myself verbally. I did get pushed about a bit but no one got hurt. I saw one of the lads a few weeks later and he apologised. It would have ended far worse if I had a gun, they are illegal in the UK.
Perhaps you should try to get knives outlawed.
If you really think that, then you should try and get guns outlawed in the US. Knives are mainly used for cooking in the UK, not sure that would go down well.

Did Jesus travel with a sword through Galilee?
The sure giveaway that a disinformation specialist has joined this site is they pretend to be Christians but know very little if anything about scripture. You didn't know that the I AM told Abraham to arm his servants and neighbors and go out to battle against 5 kings to release Abraham's nephew Lot after they had captured he and his family. He went after them and attacked them in the middle of night. He destroyed their armies releasing Lot. Jesus approved of Abraham entering into armed conflict. And He did so all the way through the reign of David. In fact He called David a man after His own heart.

And between those times He raised up military deliverers to set the israelites free from their oppressors time and time again. You'll probably not know about them but the more commonly known military figures he used were Gideon, Samson, Barak, Joshua, amd Othniel. He even authorized an assassination. A man by the name of Ehud was tasked with delivering the Israelites from their oppressors. This time it was the Moabites, and the king of Moab was a very fat man. Ehud passed himself off as being a friend of the Moabites and an enemy of Israel. He insinuated himself into the king of Moabs inner circle and so got close to the king that he spent personal time with the king. Now before he did all this he had made himself a two-edged sword 18" in length. He carried it strapped to his thigh under his clothing. When he had the right moment he plunged that sword into the kings belly. And the Bible says the king was so fat that once the sword was plunged completely into him his fat completely covered up the sword. So Ehud just walked out of the city/fortress of the king of Moab telling the guards that the king was sleeping and didn't want to be disturbed.

Oh, yeah, Jesus approved of lot of violence in the defense of His people. So all this stuff about how Jesus was pure pacifist is pure nonsense. People like you who make the arguments you do just don't know the Bible. So you think your arguments are plausible. They aren't.
