Indeed but your reference has nothing to do with God's 4th commandment. Your trying to read into scripture what the scriptures do not teach. The chapter of ROMANS 14 does not talk about God's 4th commandment anywhere and the topic and subject matter is on eating and not eating (fasting eating vegetables) ONdays that men esteem over other days and people judging them for this. Soo nope! No mention of God's 4th commandment here. Your trying to read into the scriptures and change the content, context and subject matter by cherry picking scripture out of context and trying to read into it what the scriptures do not say or teach. All your doing here is repeating yourself again without addressing the scriptures and posts shared with you that show why your in error.

Hope this is helpful dear friend :)

Soo what is your point? Colossians 2:16-17 is in reference to the annual feast days and their ceremonial "shadow sabbaths" connected to these feasts and days of holy convocation that could fall on any day of the week. It is not a reference to Gods 4th commandment that is not a "shadow law". We no longer need to keep the ceremonial sabbaths in the feast days. This is not a reference to God's 4th commandment from the 10 commandments that give us the knowledge of what sin is in the new covenant *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4. Read what your quoting from, where in Colossian 2:20 is it talking about God's 4th commandment? - It doesn't!

Hope this helps :)

Nonsense. Your twisting the scriptures again. In the days of Jesus the religious teachers of the day had placed so many man made traditions around Sabbath keeping that it had become a burden to the people. It was though in their eyes MANKIND was made for the Sabbath. It was so bad in fact that these religious teachers were constantly looking for ways to accuse Jesus of breaking the Sabbath (Matt 12:1-2; 10; Mark 3:2'; Luke 6:1-2).

Jesus rebuked these religious teachers by saying that the Sabbath was made for MAN and NOT MAN for the SABBATH (Mark 2:27 and that he was the CREATOR or LORD of the Sabbath (Mark 2:28) and it was LAWFUL to do GOOD on the SABBATH (Matt 12:12)

Jesus did God's WORK on the Sabbath and so should we everyday but God's WORK is not the work we are commanded NOT to do on God's Sabbath for it is lawful to do GOOD on the Sabbath.

Have you not read what David did, when he was hungry, and they that were with him; How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the showbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them who were with him, but only for the priests?

Or have you not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless? Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? How much then is a man better than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

GOD'S 4TH COMMANDMENT

EXODUS 20:8-11
[8], Remember the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day)
[9], Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:
[10], But the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY>
[11], For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the SEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and HALLOWED IT.

Doing GOD'S WORK is NOT what the 4th Commandment is talking about please read it.

God's 4th Commandments says we are NOT to do OUR OWN WORK. Yep NO secular business or paid work, no unnecessary domestic work, no buying and selling, shopping. This can be done on the other days of the week. God has made the SEVENTH DAY a HOLY DAY and we are to REST in HIM by FAITH in the LORD of the SABBATH. This is the 4th Commandment and one of the God's 10.

.......................

SIN is the breaking of God's Commandments (James 2:9-11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4)
Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

.......................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27). Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9). There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day. Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God? In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

Hope this helps

Good grief

I did not mean anything with disrespect. What you were posting was simply repetition that did not address any of the content and scriptures you were quoting from or did not even seem to make sense. I thought you may have been simply tired and may have needed some rest. Quantity of posts is not evidence of truth. Only God's Word is true and we should believe and follow it over the teachings and traditions of men which you seem to wish to support and follow. God's Word does not teach us to break anyone of his 10 commandments.

Goodness dear GT, how can I lie when I simply quoted you saying what you claimed you did not say? It seems you are the one lying not me dear friend. Shame on you.

Nope. Where is the scripture. You have none so don't pretend God commanded humans to work on the Sabbath until he gave the law to Moses. God gave the Sabbath to mankind at creation *GENESIS 2:1-3; MARK 2:27.

God's 4th commandment is not a law about our neighbore it is a law of our duty of love to God. Love is the fulfilling of God's law and sum up our duty of love to God and man *MATTHEW 22:36-40; ROMANS 13:8-10; JAMES 2:8-12.

Yes it is. That is why there is a "preparation day" in the bible which is the day to prepare for the Sabbath (see EXODUS 16; MARK 15:42 etc)

Hope this helps. :)

Nonsense. I do not preach falseness dear friend. That is your domain. I have only share Gods' Word with you. God's Word is not my words but God's Word and it seems you do not believe them. I have never said obedience to God's Word is not a requirement for salvation. I have only ever posted that we are ONLY saved by GRACE through FAITH and NOT of ourselves it is a GIFT of GOD and NOT of WORKS lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9). If our FAITH does not have the FRUIT of OBEDIENCE then we are still in our SINS because we reject the GIFT of God's dear son and count the blood of the covenant an unholy thing and do dispite to the Spirit of God's grace (James 2:18; 20; 26; James 2:8-12; Hebrews 10:26-31). If your tree dear friend has no FRUIT then it will be cast down and thrown into the fire (Matthew 7:12-23; Hebrews 10:26-27).

Not really dear friend your only repeatnig yourself unsupported by scriptures without addressing any of the content and scriptures shared with you. I guess we will have to agree to disagree. For me only God's Word is true and we should believe and follow it over man made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of God. JESUS says those who follow man made teachings and traditions that break God's commandments are not worshipping God *MATTHEW 15:2-9.

A "SHADOW LAW" from the old covenant was only ever given as a part of God's plan of salvation "AFTER" the fall of mankind (SIN) and points FORWARD to the promise of JESUS as our sacrifice for sin and his work on our behalf to save us from our sins. If there was "NO SIN" when the Sabbath was made for mankind. How can there be any "SHADOW LAWS" when mankind HAD NOT SINNED and was in perfect harmony with God? No plan of salvation is REQUIRED (although already made) when there is NO SIN! Do you understand now? As shown above the SABBATH is a part of the FINISHED WORK of CREATION and points BACK to creation (REMEMBER) *EXODUS 20:8. It was given BEFORE SIN and BEFORE THE NEED FOR A PLAN OF SALVATION when mankind was in perfect harmony with God so it is therefore impossible for Gods' 4th commandment to be a "shadow of things to come" because it points BACK to the finished work of creation. You are incorrect. The Sabbath was made and given to mankind in creation when God "BLESSED" that "SEVENTH DAY and make it a HOLY DAY of all mankind *GENESIS 2:1-3; MARK 2:27.

Your interpretation does not make any sense and is not biblical as JESUS, the apostles and PAUL all kept God's 4th commandment according to the scriptures. Gods Word can be a blessing or a curse. It is a blessing to all those who receive it and a curse to all those who reject it. The question we must all ask ourselves is what will we do? Will we choose to prayerfully search the scriptures or choose instead to have a proud and stubborn heart and reject God's Word in order to follow our tradtitions that brean the commandments of God?

Ok back to the OP, lets start with question 1...

Q1 WHAT IS GRACE FOR?

ROMANS 1:5
5, By whom we have received GRACE and apostleship, FOR OBEDIENCE TO THE FAITH among all nations, for his name.

TITUS 2:11-12
[11], FOR THE GRACE OF GOD HAS APPEARED BRINGING SALVATION TO ALL MEN,
[12], TEACHING US, THAT, DENYING UNGODLINESS AND WORLDLY JUSTS, WE SHOULD LIVE SOBERLY, RIGHTOUESLY AND GODLY IN THIS PRESENT WORLD

ROMANS 6:1-2, [1] What shall we say then? SHALL WE SIN [break any one of God's 10 commandments], THAT GRACE MAY ABOUND? God forbid. [2], How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

God's GRACE IS FOR OBEDIENCE to GOD'S WORD.

Did you wish to answer the other questions?
