      You don't need software for that. All you need is The Plot.

        How can it reverse-engineer a software program you do not have access to? No executable needed? Does it just pull data out of the ether? What you're describing doesn't make sense to me, and doesn't seem possible.

        I look forward to learning more about this, Bob.

          He says he can display every page of every book.
          Sounds like he thinks he found God's Kindle.

            Without having access to the book in some form?

            How is that possible without access to data from somewhere?

            Maybe I'm just not understanding what exactly he's claiming.

              I don't think it's possible. This is some joke or he's trying to make some point.

                Well, I don't get the joke; but he certainly has my attention.

                I look forward to learning more about his invention, or at least understanding the point he is making.

                    Riddle me right and riddle me wrong,
                    Riddle me short and riddle me long,
                    Riddle me all and riddle me none;
                    Won't I look smart when riddles are gone?

                    When we speak in code our friends can all cry
                    How clever we are, how cunning and sly,
                    To flummox our foes with some twisting tale;
                    Won't I look good when I take off the veil?

                    Something obscure, if worded just right,
                    Might just pass as wit when viewed in poor light.
                    And my friends all around will strike up a cheer,
                    Won't I look droll when things become clear?

                    Riddle me right and riddle me wrong,
                    Riddle me short and riddle me long,
                    Riddle me all and riddle me none;
                    Won't I look smart when riddles are gone?

                          I gotta admit, I'm curious to see where this is going.

                          ...how long are you gonna keep us waiting, Bob?

                            It's just more of the usual shenanigans for attention seeking. Fess up, Mr. Enyart, and let the cat out of the bag.

                              AMR: a mathematical proof

                              AMR, I don't know about any cat in a bag, but Display can show you the cat in the hat.

                              As for usual, if a universal mathematical proof demonstrating that human creativity is not infinite but finite is usual, then my program is usual. As for this being a shenanigan, I value the opportunity to continue my 18-year run on air as a daily talk radio host too much to promise that I would quit the program if I am being dishonest about the features of my software invention. This is no shenanigan. Chilling perhaps. Shenanigans? None.

                              I've worked on this for a decade aa (assuranceagent), and of course I'm not certain what might be the best way to share this development with others. But I'm thinking that a TOL thread is a very good way to introduce Display and let others grapple with its implications as I have been doing for years now.

                                Every book ever? Even those that have been lost throughout the ages?
