Of course it was written after the resurrection but it was still written under the unction of the Holy Spirit. Are you saying that the verse is incorrect in calling the babe Christ?

The Son was born to become both Savior and the Christ who will sit on David's throne in Jerusalem. He is working as Savior but David's throne does not yet exist at this time in Jerusalem, which suggests to me that he is not sitting on it.

So you don't believe the babe was Christ. Sad.

He was born to become the Christ. He will be the King of other kings, he will be the Lord of other lords. He will rule the world. This is not that difficult.

If you believe Jesus Christ is sitting on David's throne in Jerusalem, sad.

He's not sitting on the throne in Jerusalem but He was still born the Christ. Scripture attests to that.

David was anointed king when he was a young man, but he did not immediately go to Jerusalem and sit on his throne even though he was obviously born to rule.

Jesus had the Holy Spirit from birth. He was anointed as the Christ by the laying on of hands through a dove, i.e. contact.

Have you been anointed by the laying on of hands? It's one of the basic principles of Jesus' doctrine.

If Jesus had the HS at birth why did he have a need for it at his anointing?

David's throne is a throne over Israel.

Jesus is on the throne over Israel and over every name and power.

Ephesians 1:21
far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.

Jesus was anointed by the Spirit in the form of a dove.

In Israel, the ritualistic act of anointing was performed to inaugurate people into certain specific offices, and only offices that had no earthly superior and were subject only to God. Thus only a High Priest (Leviticus 4:3) and a prophet and a king would be anointed into office (1 Kings 19:16). Regular priests and certain venerable objects would be consecrated by receiving a mere sprinkling of the oil (Exodus 30:26, Leviticus 8:30).

An anointing required contact. In Jesus' case the contact was God's Spirit in the form of a dove.

The Savior Jesus was anointed to be the Christ and to fulfill the Messianic prophecies of world government after his resurrection.

What spirit was hr born with if he got the HS at his anointing?

And more important, what is the power he received in Acts 10:38?
