The Myth of unMerited Favor and Grace

Wow.... that's quite the ridiculous rant.

I was responding to your and GT's comment that some of us "disregard the 'gospels'" (just another false accusation).

So where does all of this other irrelevant ranting come from? Do you have some other deep seated problem that you'd like to discuss?

You want to clean up the word 'disregard' to 'put it in it's proper context'.

It does NOT change the fact that you do not believe that the words Jesus spoke while he walked the earth is for us.

The four Gospels were written to the Lost sheep of the House of Israel. The Gentiles were not included.
Not until Jesus was crucified, then ALL could come to him to be saved.

Jesus helped non Jews when he walked the earth.

Jesus had to come first for those who already belonged to God by faith. The rest of the Jews were cut off and bound to disobedience with the Gentiles, but they could hear the message later and have a chance to be saved, after Jesus was crucified.

I suppose you would rather believe that selling all he had was just an extra command for that one particular guy to gain eternal life.
He had to do something extra to get eternal life that no one else had to do.
Hmmm.

Jesus Christ was in the flesh on this earth! Jesus' disciples had to leave their homes and travel with Jesus and become traveling preachers.

Jesus knew the rich man loved his riches more than he loved God.

A poor person, a middle class person, and everyone in between and beyond that, they are to put God first. You can do that in your heart and mind. That is what Jesus was teaching.
I
But wait ...................
Latter on, we find out that is exactly what the apostles and their followers were doing.
Acts 4:32-35 KJV
(32) And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
(33) And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
(34) Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
(35) And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

The people were not commanded to do this, they wanted to do this.

Read this, it is during the same time:

Ananias and Sapphira

Acts 5:5 Now a man named Ananias, together with his wife Sapphira, also sold a piece of property. 2 With his wife’s full knowledge he kept back part of the money for himself, but brought the rest and put it at the apostles’ feet.

3 Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? 4 Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal? What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.”

Peter says that the LAND BELONGED TO HIM TO DO WITH IT WHAT HE WANTED. Then, after the LAND was sold---the MONEY from the land was HIS TO DO WHAT HE WANTED WITH IT.

Ananias' sin is not that he kept money, but that he LIED about it.

Jesus does not want the whole world to be homeless. He was speaking to those who would be traveling ministers with him.

Let the spin begin!

It isn't a spin. It is God's Truth.

The 12 taught the kingdom gospel.
Faith with works.
Sent to baptize.

Paul taught the grace gospel.
Faith without works.
Was not sent to baptize.

And many other differences
Or as you may hear on several occasions, "Things that differ are not the same".

Paul taught the exact same as the other apostles, and the same as Jesus Christ himself.
