The long nightmare has just begun: Inauguration of a fraud.

51. The 50 states plus DC.

So:
States that are not Maine or Nebraska = 48
Washington DC = 1
Maine and Nebraska popular
winner of each congressional district = 5
The two senatorial votes to the
over all winner in Maine and Nebraska = 2
--------
56

I count the two bonus points in Maine and Nebraska as separate races because you could win those without winning any particular district as in the following scenario:

District 1 10 votes D, 5 votes R, 8 votes I. D wins
District 2 5 votes D, 10 votes R, 8 votes I. R wins
State wide 15 votes D, 15 votes R, 16 votes I. I wins the bonus round
So three people could win the 4 votes in Maine.

56 races.

Have fun pretending to be the judge of anything. :)

You better be careful or he'll hand you a grade!

You know, I thought about finishing out this thread today, since it's been exactly three months and I'd said that I wasn't going to keep doing this for four years. Then it got a little busy and I thought I'd wait. :chuckle: I'll be traveling out of the country visiting relatives soon and won't have regular internet access, so that seemed a good time too. It's about time to move on. :) (From TOL. Not from the Trump watch. I'll do that elsewhere. )

That looks like a lot of numbers. I guess as long as we both agree there are 50 states and 1 district with electoral colleges, I'll take your word for the rest of it.
