I'm still waiting for squeaky to tell me exactly and specifically what works I have to do to insure my salvation

Jesus sez:

but squeaky sez:

I said
There is only one guarantee of salvation in the whole bible. If you find Him I won't have to lead you like a child.

[2Co 5:5
5 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing [is] God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee.

You will have to show your work to get to that conclusion about me...until then you are merely spreading false testimony to slander...much like jews did about Stephen and Paul claiming those two taught the Law was changed...

Which you also try to teach...

Look you get all emotional with me, and I'm not the one that has blinded you. You should take up your frustrations with God, He is the one that blinded you.

ROFLOL I always wondered what that spoiler box was for. I just found out.
The flesh is your emotions.

Alright, so let's read the rest of your post and where it says "flesh" we'll insert "emotions," and see if it makes any sense. Ok? Ok.

4 And those [who are] Christ's have crucified the flesh emotions with its passions and desires.

 Hmmm, emotions have passions and desires? :mock:

Next passage...

[Gal 5:17, 19-21, 24
17 For the flesh emotions lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh emotions; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. ...
19 Now the works of the flesh emotions are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,
21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told [you] in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. ...[/QUOTE]

 :mock:

Oh? Seems more like you think there is no works needs doing...

Not what Paul says.

For by grace (unmerited favor) are you saved through faith!

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. - Romans 10:9 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans10:9&version=NKJV

In the OT His people WANTED to do the works as a sign they are saved not in order to be saved...

Nope.

For Israel, works (aka keeping the law) were required for salvation.

God nearly killed Moses because he didn't circumcise his son. Zipporah (Moses' wife) had to do it herself, and called him a "husband of blood" to her.

But works needs doing...

Only if one is under the law.

Christians, as Paul said, are not under the law, but under grace.

It is ridiculous to think Christians argue that in the OT circumcision was done TO SAVE...when it was an act done TO an infant...a MALE infant...catch that?...What did the infant do to be saved? NOTHING...it was never about salvation...

Yes, it was. So what if it was done to the little baby without his consent?

God required it, or else the baby would be cut off.

How about a gentile who wanted to enter into a relationship with God in the Old Testament? What did He have to do?

HE HAD TO CIRCUMCISE AND KEEP THE LAW.

what about females?...and finally think of all the circumcised Israelites that were NOT saved...

Israelite women were considered jews because they were born into a jewish family.

Cut your flesh but it profits you NOTHING...

It doesn't now, correct.

and as for salvation IT NEVER DID...

Like all the other commandments...His people WANT to keep and do them because they know they ALREADY ARE SAVED...NOT in order to become saved...

Would it profit a Christian to put himself under the law against adultery? Or theft? Or murder? Or perjury?

I think your misunderstanding the difference between saved and salvation. Saved is a free gift. And Jesus death saved us from what we deserve. But that is only so that we could have a chance to work out our salvation. God saved the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt only to destroy those later who would not believe the truth.

[Act 7:39
39 "whom our fathers would not obey, but rejected. And in their hearts they turned back to Egypt,
[Jde 1:5
5 But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.

Not what Paul says.

For by grace (unmerited favor) are you saved through faith!
of course that is how one is saved...read Hebrews 11 and see all those in the OT that were saved by faith...NOT BY WORKS...and once saved that faith compelled works...including obedience

As faith without works is well...dead...but you insist there are no works to be done...

that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. - Romans 10:9 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans10:9&version=NKJV
confess with your...believe in your heart...sounds like work or all the world would do it...even Satan believes...obviously there is more to confession and believing than what we typically ascribe to confessing and believing...but yes you will be saved...and will want to show your gratitude for it...that’s the works part...the by your fruit part...

Nope.

For Israel, works (aka keeping the law) were required for salvation.
Might I suggest you study the OT a little more? Israel was actually saved from Egypt WITHOUt KNOWING THE LAW...see? faith first

God nearly killed Moses because he didn't circumcise his son. Zipporah (Moses' wife) had to do it herself, and called him a "husband of blood" to her.
ummm you do understand Moses was chosen BEFORE his son was circumcised...the covenant was that because Abraham was chosen/saved by faith it was a sign...see? faith first again...

Only if one is under the law.

Christians, as Paul said, are not under the law, but under grace.
right...faith first then works...because we are given the unearned gift of grace we realize He bought us and we are His to do HIS WAY...out of gratitude not cuz we have to...we establish law said Paul...

Yes, it was.
read Hebrews 11 again...see by FAITH FIRST...

So what if it was done to the little baby without his consent?
so what? So it can’t possibly save him as he has no clue what it is...if anything it “saves” the parents for obeying...kinda like it “saved” Moses that he “obeyed” and his child was cut...think of all those cut Israelites that were not saved...

God required it, or else the baby would be cut off.

How about a gentile who wanted to enter into a relationship with God in the Old Testament? What did He have to do?
gers were saved from egypt travelled and lived with israel and only if they wished to celebrate passover did they have to be circumcised and only if they wished to enter the promise land did they have to...they could have gone anywhere else to live...

HE HAD TO CIRCUMCISE AND KEEP THE LAW.
nope he WANTED to...and only for a closer relationship

Israelite women were considered jews because they were born into a jewish family.
and being jewish is saved?

It doesn't now, correct.
and for salvation (from the second death) IT NEVER DID

Would it profit a Christian to put himself under the law against adultery? Or theft? Or murder? Or perjury?

Sure...imagine Christians WANTING to live by those rules...might live better lives now...and get some practice in as to how they will live in heaven...it being “Here are they that keep the commandments of Yah and the faith/testimony OF Yahushua”...

But if you mean one should start keeping laws in order to be saved...that’s silly...

Like trying to keep the law of gravity...you can’t...it keeps you...you accept it and benefit from it and live accordingly...

That New Covenant was modeled for us while He was still alive...He demonstrated how we are to follow Him...do AS He did...and then He signed that New Covenant with His blood and SEALED it with His death...

NO CHANGES ALLOWED

And yet here you are baring the same false witness jews said of Stephen and Paul...that both taught the Law was changed...

It was false witness then...it remains false witness now...

I said

CHRIST CHANGED THE LAW

Heb 7:12-16
12 For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law.
13 For He of whom these things are spoken belongs to another tribe, from which no man has officiated at the altar.
14 For it is evident that our Lord arose from Judah, of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.
15 And it is yet far more evident if, in the likeness of Melchizedek, there arises another priest
16 who has come, not according to the law of a fleshly commandment, but according to the power of an endless life.
Heb 7:18-19
18 For on the one hand there is an annulling of the former commandment because of its weakness and unprofitableness,
19 for the law made nothing perfect; on the other hand, there is the bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.
Heb 7:22
22 by so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant.
Heb 7:28
28 For the law appoints as high priests men who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints the Son who has been perfected forever.
Heb 7:12
12 For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law.
Heb 8:7
7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.
Jude 1:24-25
24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
25 To God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.
Gal 5:1-5
1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
2 Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing.
3 And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law.
4 You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
5 For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
James 2:10
10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.
James 2:12-13
12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.
13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
Matt 6:14-15
14 "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15 "But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Gal 6:2-5
2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
4 But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
5 For each one shall bear his own load.
Rom 2:12
12 For as many as have sinned without law will also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law
Gal 6:2
2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

XXX Christ didnt do away with the idea of law. He just came to deliver us from the old testament law of sin and death. And He done it with the new testament law of Christ. One cant keep them both. One cant get an eye for an eye and turn the other cheek both at the same time.

Matt 5:17-18
17 "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.
18 "For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

(NKJ)

Luke 10:26-28
26 He said to him, "What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?"
27 So he answered and said," 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,' and 'your neighbor as yourself.'"
28 And He said to him, "You have answered rightly; do this and you will live."
(NKJ)

Luke 16:16-17
16 "The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it.

1 For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect.

6 But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.

Acts 21:19-21
19 When he had greeted them, he told in detail those things which God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.
20 And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord. And they said to him, "You see, brother, how many myriads of Jews there are who have believed, and they are all zealous for the law;
21 "but they have been informed about you that you teach all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children nor to walk according to the customs.

Liars also known as false witnessed said this:

Acts 16:14 “For we have heard him say that Jesus of Nazareth will...change the customs that Moses handed down to us.”

Paul said “copy me AS I copy Christ”

Acts 21:24”...Then everyone will know there is nothing in what they have been told about you, but that you yourself live in conformity with the law.“

And so Paul did what was asked of those jews who believed and were still zealous for the law...so that everyone (except sneaky squeaky) can know Paul lived in conformity with the law...

And yet here is sneaky squeaky still squawking that Paul taught the law was destroyed and not to walk according to OT customs...

lol Your an idiot. Read the next verse. Muslims always forget to read the context that is said. When they are trying to trick Christians into deception.

Uh oh...thought you said no OT law was brought into the NT...

“Of these four requirements listed by James, two were directly from the law of Moses and two were logical interpretations of the law of Moses added by the Jewish rabbis to guard the Torah. They all pertained specifically to Gentiles living in Israel:

abstain from food polluted by idols - Leviticus 17:8-9 "Say to them: 'Any Israelite or any alien living among them who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice and does not bring it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting to sacrifice it to the LORD--that man must be cut off from his people.'" (To guard carefully against idolatry, this command was interpreted by the Jews to prohibit eating any meat that had been offered in a prohibited manner. In Rev. 2:14, 20 the words of Jesus show agreement with that interpretation.)

from sexual immorality - Leviticus 18:6-26 lists a wide range of sexually immoral activities and ends with, 'The native-born and the aliens living among you must not do any of these detestable things,'

from the meat of strangled animals - Leviticus 17:13,15 "'Any Israelite or any alien living among you who hunts any animal or bird that may be eaten must drain out the blood and cover it with earth,
"'Anyone, whether native-born or alien, who eats anything found dead or torn by wild animals must wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will be ceremonially unclean till evening; then he will be clean." (These were interpreted by the Jews to prohibit eating the meat of strangled animals.)

and from blood - Leviticus 17:10 "'Any Israelite or any alien living among them who eats any blood--I will set my face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from his people."

Rather than canceling or withdrawing these Old Testament regulations, James and the apostles actually extended the scope of these regulations by applying them to Gentile believers living outside the land of Israel.”

https://www.psalm11918.org/Articles...ciples-of-Jesus-Stop-Keeping-the-OT-Laws.html

So there ya go...

And BTW these four prohibitions were chosen for gentiles in order that they be able to crowd synagogues every Sabbath to hear more of the One crucified and to hear the Torah read to them so as to why He was killed and what it meant...

Acts 24:14 “But this I confess to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets.”

Nothing there about the Law being abolished...
