Sadly, you hope to receive glory for something you have done instead of trusting what the Lord Jesus Christ has done. It's a gift that cannot be earned...only accepted.

I despise saying this, however, there are very few posters on TOL that preach the Grace Gospel. The rest are cultists, religious fanatics, workers, denominationalists, Calvinists, etc.

As you say, GM, it's simple. But it has to be the right simple...not the wrong simple. She's been told over and over so it's only her own PRIDE that keeps her from seeing this simple TRUTH. :sigh:
Anyone who rejects "The Grace Gospel" (the Gospel given to the Apostle Paul by the ascended Lord Jesus Christ) will face God's judgment seat and be judged by their works and be cast into The Lake of Fire for eternity. Revelation Revelation 20:12 "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."
You speak the TRUTH as usual.
Many on TOL don't KNOW the truth in order to speak it.
Many on TOL, if asked to give a personal testimony of their faith, cannot or will not do so.
Mind you, 1 Peter was written to "The House of Israel" however we can learn what God expects of us Gentiles in certain instanses. Such as the following: (1 Peter 3:15) "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:"
There can be only ONE true Gospel today (2016) in this "Dispensation of Grace" that Paul speaks of. And, that is "The Grace Gospel. You can only receive the benefits of Christ's death and resurrection through this Gospel. (Paul's Gospel) Romans 2:16 "In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
The WAY of salvation can be found in the writings of The Apostle Paul in Romans through Philemon.
If one is seeking eternal life today (2016) I admonish you to read/study the writings of The Apostle Paul. However, once you've been sealed, indwelt and baptized (not by water) into the Body of Christ, it is essential to read/study the entire Bible (New/Old Testaments) cover to cover, word for word, and name by name. This way you get a complete knowledge of who God is, His character and intent, etc. It takes REAL discipline to accomplish these readings.
If you desire to know where faith comes from, here's your answer: "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (Romans 10:17)
In the final analysis, humanity will not wind up in The Lake of Fire because of sin, but, by rejecting God's free gift of eternal life through the death and resurrection of Christ and subsequently being judged by their WORKS!
