When I first read the headlines about a cure for HIV, I had mixed feelings. My first thoughts were that proud and unrepentant homosexuals would use this alleged cure to continue to engage in a downright deadly behavior. After awhile I also realized that God can use this for good as well. For instance a young boy who had been raped by a homosexual elder and contracted HIV from the homosexual pedophile or pederast wouldn't have to live with HIV all of his life.
I also realized that those who have repented and become EX homosexuals wouldn't have the HIV/AIDS death sentence lingering over their head.

Then I read another article on the subject and found out that this alleged cure for HIV isn't recommended for everyone with HIV.

Doctors might have found a cure for HIV. But is it worse than the disease?

Since news broke this week that a second HIV-positive patient was cured of the virus that causes AIDS, four people asked Dr. Ray Martins if they could have the stem-cell surgery.
The Washington doctor said he wouldn't recommend it.

Doctors are hailing news of a potential breakthrough on a condition that has killed hundreds of thousands in the United States alone. But the operation is so onerous – and HIV now so manageable – that it could be a classic case of the cure being worse than the disease.

HIV was once a death sentence – it has killed some 35 million people worldwide [Lie, African HIV/AIDS isn't the same thing that homosexuals in westernized nations have contracted and died from]. But now, by taking one or two pills a day, most patients can suppress viral loads to the point that they can neither be detected nor passed on to others.

The still-experimental surgery involves chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant using stem cells. It's painful, risky, and threatens harsh side effects that can last for years.
"It's so dangerous," Martins said. "I wouldn't do that to someone who is healthy with HIV."

I find this interesting that Liberty Councel is using a pro abortion SCOTUS decision in hopes of overturning an unjust New Jersey law banning conversion therapy.

While court battles seem to be the present tool used to fight for things like religious liberty, parental rights and self autonomy (in this case using free will to better one's self), it's a defensive measure and in the long run will fail. Voting God-fearing men and women into public office who will help change these evil laws and help change the immoral culture of America is taking the offense and will be a huge step in the right direction in winning this ongoing culture war.

A religious group wants the Supreme Court to overturn N.J.'s ban on gay conversion therapy

Licensed therapists in New Jersey have been prohibited since 2013 from engaging in conversion therapy, an attempt to change a child’s gender identity or their sexual orientation from gay to straight.
But encouraged by a U.S. Supreme Court decision last year, Liberty Counsel, a national religious legal organization, just asked the nation’s highest court for a chance to prove New Jersey’s law violates the free speech rights of counselors who believe the treatment works.


The ruling in June struck down portions of a California law that required crisis pregnancy centers to tell pregnant women about the availability of publicly-funded family-planning services, including abortions. The court ruled the law violated the First Amendment rights of the pregnancy center owners and employees, who oppose abortion.
“California cannot co-opt the licensed facilities to deliver its message for it,” Justice Clarence Thomas wrote in the 5-4 majority opinion. He called the requirement for unlicensed centers “unjustified and unduly burdensome.”
Mat Staver, founder of Liberty Counsel, said he’s hopeful the high court will see the same free speech violations in the conversion therapy ban.
“This is government interfering with the private counseling relationship...without considering facts and individual people,” said Staver, which also represented the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates, which prevailed in the California case.
“We have clients in New Jersey and other places that have been affected by this decision,” Staver added. “This is a fundamental violation of autotomy. There is no other area of counseling this happens.”
Liberty Counsel submitted the petition to the Supreme Court on Feb. 11.

If the high court takes the case, the ruling would strengthen or strike down the ban in 15 states and Washington D.C. The court could also decline to accept the case, leaving the laws intact.

...A spokesman for the National Center for Lesbian Rights, which helped draft the bill banning the therapy in New Jersey, expressed confidence the court would keep the law intact.
“States have the authority to regulate licensed medical professionals to protect public health and safety, which is exactly what New Jersey’s law does,” said Shannon Minter, the center’s legal director.

EBENSBURG, Pa. (AP) — A former Pennsylvania pediatrician was sentenced to at least 79 years in prison on Monday for the sexual assault of 31 children, most of them patients, in a case that state medical regulators failed to act on nearly two decades ago.

Dr. Johnnie Barto of Johnstown was sentenced on dozens of counts, including aggravated indecent assault and child endangerment. Prosecutors say he spent decades abusing boys and girls in the exam room at his pediatric practice in western Pennsylvania and at local hospitals, with his victims typically ranging in age from 8 to 12. One was an infant.
Nineteen people gave victim impact statements, both in person and through a prosecutor, describing how Barto caused them to feel hopelessness and despair, caused depression and anxiety and instilled a fear of doctors.

After 2 years of investigations and a couple of dozen criminal indictments, Mueller has now turned over he and his team of investigators findings to recently Trump appointee Attorney General William Barr.

President Donald Trump's supporters celebrated the conclusion of special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation on Friday evening, claiming that the president has been cleared of any collusion charges.
Donald Trump Jr., the president's eldest son, simply tweeted "#CollusionTruthers."
But investigations related to the Russia probe are far from over.
There are still several court cases, cooperation agreements, potential future indictments, and related investigations being handled by other US attorneys' offices that will continue well past the Mueller report's release...

The investigation into Trump is far from over
The release of Barr's summary of Mueller's findings does not necessarily signify the end of the Russia investigation. There are a plethora of court cases, cooperation agreements, and potential future indictments that could drop well after Barr submits his report to Congress.
Here are some of the major threads that experts say will continue past the release of the Mueller report:

*The longtime GOP strategist Roger Stone was indicted on seven felony counts of obstruction, false statements, and witness tampering last month. He pleaded not guilty to all counts and intends to go to trial. He has also not ruled out cooperating with prosecutors against other individuals- but not Trump - ensnared in the Russia probe.

*Former Trump campaign deputy campaign chairman Rick Gates is still cooperating with multiple investigations.

*Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, is still cooperating with multiple investigations.

*The Manhattan US attorney's office is probing Trump's involvement in several hush-money payments during the election to women who say they had affairs with him. Cohen, Trump's former bookkeeper, and several Trump Organization executives are cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

*New York federal prosecutors subpoenaed the Trump inaugural committee for documents related to its finances. The committee has long been under scrutiny from investigators examining whether foreign governments - like Russia, the UAE, and others - illegally funneled money into the operation to influence White House policy.

*Paul Erickson, a GOP strategist and the boyfriend of the Russian spy Maria Butina, was charged by the Justice Department in an unrelated fraud scheme, and if he strikes a plea deal, it could open up new investigative threads for prosecutors.

*The House Intelligence Committee recently sent over the transcripts of testimony from several individuals lawmakers believe may have lied to Congress, including Donald Trump Jr., the Trump associate Erik Prince, and others.

*Mueller was locked in a legal battle with an unknown foreign corporation that's fighting a grand-jury subpoena for documents and testimony.

*Prosecutors are also in a court fight with Andrew Miller, a Stone associate, who's fighting a separate grand-jury subpoena to provide witness testimony.

*In January, Mueller's federal grand jury was extended for six months, so it could continue to meet and vote on criminal indictments brought by other parts of the Department of Justice.

*The US attorney's office in Washington, DC, has stepped up on assisting Mueller's team with casework which will continue even after the release of a report. Some of those cases reportedly include Stone's, one involving a Russian social-media conspiracy, and the court battle with the unidentified foreign corporation.
