ECT We really need to pay close attention to James’ warnings!

Paul encourages saved people to stay saved.
ALL of the epistle writers encouraged saved believers to stay saved
... in many, many, many of the statements they wrote!

Jesus did so also ... for the benefit of believers later
... because no one was saved during His time
... because no one had been given the Holy Spirit (until John 20).

John 8:31-32
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,
If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free
.
From 20+ years ago, there's hope for some of these people here ...
I remember the popular theme of that day ...
-- some believers going to heaven choose to be disciples
-- some believers going to heaven choose not to be disciples
I now fully realize that erroneous reasoning was from Satan.

One little hint of this is from the above passage:
non-disciples won't know the Truth, and won't be free!

If they were not yet saved, how could this be proof that OSAS is false?
You won't answer.
Guess I better answer ...

They thought they were saved.
Sorry, I forget ... Did James say they were saved?
Please give us a break ... at least SOME of them were saved!

Those who were saved, they needed to stay saved by heeding the warnings.

Do you not realize that ...
Many of the warnings in the NT are CONDITIONAL.
They call on people to CONTINUE, or else!!!

Continue in what? ... Continue with their faith.
Once again, case closed against OSAS.

James never mentioned keeping the obsolete Law of Moses.

He sure did, as did the Lord Jesus Christ in big red letters. Do I need to post them again or will you concede that the circumcision is bound to an everlasting covenant?

Okay, thanks for the correction!

James wrote to the twelve tribes scattered abroad to let them know the Law was changed.

James mentioned the King's law which summarizes the perfect Law of Liberty by which we are now judged.

So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. (James 2:12 NKJV)

The covenant of circumcision was for the men of Israel.

God's covenant with Abraham was made when Abraham was uncircumcised. Circumcision has never been part of the Abrahamic covenant.

Did you have a point to make?

Of course ... once in heaven, always in heaven.

Romans 6

3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?

11 Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Here is another one.

Nick, this simply means that the believer who has
the new nature and the indwelling Holy Spirit ... NO LONGER has to sin!
He now is able to be an overcomer, if he really chooses to be one!

Let's keep going ... Salvation is a process ...
which involves man's free-will choices to co-operate with God.
That's what all of many dozens of warnings are all about.
God's special elect will choose to heed these warnings,
and do what is required for their ultimate final salvation
... and what should follow is fairly long list of things,
which are laid out in the new covenant.

Charles feinberg lost his ability to think before he died. His mind reverted back to his life when he was a young man a Rabbi. Once he asked his sons who the picture on his wall was (his wife's pic) they replied that's our mother your wife. "Where is she?" Charles asked "she's in heaven with Jesus" they told him.

"We don't believe in Jesus, we are jews" Charles proclaimed.

How does your not saved mind/heart explain Charles lack of faith before he passed?

As you said, he lost his mind.
