mysteriously enough, the party existed for many years without Him, and will likely exist long after we are all gone.

Of course, you could embalm Him and put Him in a Mausoleum in Washington DC. It worked for Lenin and Mao, so why not for The Leader?

The party was founded for freeing the slaves and bringing liberty back to the land, with Abraham Lincoln as our first president.. The party lost its way, and Trump has set it back on its correct path. This is a concept you can never understand because you are a leftist socialist sympathizer.

Of course I agree. What do you think is the best way to deal with the Trump cult going forward? While I am not an American, I am concerned that this toxic melange of disregard for truth, conspiracy-theory thinking, and personality worship will leach out into the wider world. Donald Trump is out in a little over a fortnight. But tens of millions of brainwashed followers will remain. And that is a problem.

I'm an American, but living overseas.
Hopefully saner heads in the Republican Party will put up a normal candidate in 2024. There are good options.
It will be curious to see Trump cultists, who complained about Joe Biden's age, pushing Trump for a second term in 2024- when he'll be Biden's age.

New candidates always emerge every presidential election cycle. There will be new Republican candidates appearing in 2024 that no one really is thinking about today.

I like Dinesh but on this I think his point is vastly overblown.

The Republican party, if they reject Trump, is going to find their voting base diminished by 10s of millions of voters. They will no longer be a force in the political arena. The voting block of RINO voters is miniscule when compared to the numbers of the deplorables. And I don't think any deplorable would ever vote Republican again. Either a third party would arise or the deplorables will simply not vote again. They know the establishment Republican party hates them and has lied to them for decades so their attitude will be either to form a new party or just skip voting altogether for they know that if the election fraud is not punished it is the end to any meaningful elections.

Marxist strategy has always been to destroy confidence in government and they've been working at this for decades in the US. If Trump does not stand up and stop the fraud on his own, then this republic, not democracy, is ended once and for all time. Liberty will never come here again.

It makes me glad I'm an old man living on borrowed time. I'm alive for one reason and one reason only. I live for seeing the 2nd coming as there is nothing else in this world that appeals to me.

How do you explain the Trump phenomenon? Americans cannot be intrinsically dumber than the rest of us. And yet 60 to 70 million of them support an habitual liar who almost succeeded in undermining democracy. And that in a nation that I thought was perhaps the world's most stable example of that form of government. Perhaps every "empire" eventually implodes from within. I suspect that it is not a coincidence that of all the democracies in the world, the one that is the most powerful is the one that is teetering on the precipice of destruction.

If I were a betting man, I would put my money on the position that, indeed, saner heads will prevail in the end.

That’s right. Masks and continued shutdowns are a joke, based totally on fear. There is a 0.04 death rate for Corona. People have more chance of dying from the Flu.

A totalitarian socialist state of mobs is what the Democrats offer, and liberty and freedom and jobs-not-mobs is what Trump offers.
