Exodus 31:15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. 31:16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

Exodus 31:17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

Isaiah 28:5 In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people, 28:6 And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate. 28:7 But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment. 28:8 For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean. 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: 28:11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. 28:12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. 28:13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. 28:14 Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem. 28:15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves: 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. 28:17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place. 28:18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. 28:19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report. 28:20 For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it. 28:21 For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act. 28:22 Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord GOD of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.

Hebrews 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. 4:2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. 4:3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4:4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. 4:5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. 4:6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: 4:7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. 4:8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

Hebrews 2:1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. 2:2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; 2:4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? 2:5 For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.

Very plainly!

Except that you are missing the most dynamic thing about this passage. There is a contingency. This was the day and time they were supposed to see the right thing in Christ and do it.

Those who did blessed the world.

Ie IT IS NOT A PREDICTION TO PIN DOWN WITH FAVORITE THEORIES AS TOOLS. It was a call to repent and it turned the world upside down (Acts 22) just with the few who responded.

The blinder over your eyes is you have been taught to think this is a prediction to locate. That is how D'ism ruins the story of the Bible and esp Acts. Instead of this beautiful unfolding story there is the grinding of D'ism which is totally confused about waiting for more Judaism or not.

Likewise 'blessed is he ..." in Mt 23 is not a prediction. It is declaring a condition and telling us what exciting things will be seen if we respond rightly. Many of the people there had done so in the triumphant entry on the donkey.

D'ism is up the wrong question because 2P2P is a farce.

You need to give reasons for your beliefs not just "no."

It's just blather Danoh. These are not reasons against what I said. They aren't even comments on Acts 2-3.

why honestly do you think that 3-5000 people are saved and have prayer meetings that cause earthquakes which are described as 'great grace was upon them all'--what does that all add up to?

Do some real thinking not such blind Bible pasting.

He was talking about the world to come by the way, which is what Mt24B is about with its immediately after A. Unless God wanted to delay for more salvation, which he did. But not for Judaism 2 or a theocracy or anything geopolitical.

Sure is strange how you never post Scripture at the same time that you take issue with those who you take issue with.

So ignore it. I'm fine with that.

I happen to believe they have enough memory to know what the passage was.

How there could possibly be the features of early Acts and not be called times of refreshing is unbelievable. It is exactly what Isaiah was talking about, resolving the 'location' dilemma of Judaism, which thought it had to bring people to Jerusalem, Mt 23. Instead here was a message going to 'every nation under heaven' (2:5) when those people at Pentecost returned home.

Maybe people don't have enough retention of Isaiah to get it.
