Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. When we hear something we either believe it or we don't there is no effort involved. Like when Calvinists are told that Jesus is the savior of the world they flat out don't believe because they have an unbelieving spirit in their heart.

You want to believe that God is divisive and unjust. It is not possible to have faith in a God that damns billions to hell for no reason other than they were born after Adam. You have embraced a false God with false faith.

Robert, what for heaven's sake are you talking about! God has never damned billions to hell or even a single one. The human being has been granted with the attribute of Freewill. Hence, man, not God is liable for all evil that happens to man. You ought to watch because you could be bordering on blasphemy.

The Gospel is not about works. Those that heard the Gospel on the day of Pentecost did not do any works to hear and be saved. Some that heard and believed had participated in the crucifixion of Christ, Acts 2:36.

Now tell me that those who had participated in the crucifixion of Christ were God's elected people.

Not a single one of God's elected People took any part at all in the crucifixion of Jesus. All those who wrote about what happened on the Calvary were not of God's elected People but Hellenist former disciples of Paul who was himself a Hellenist from birth. Besides, the Jews had no reason at all to participate in the crucifixion of Jesus but to abhor what was happening on that diabolic day. BTW, if you are looking for someone to blame for the crucifixion of Jesus, blame his disciples who had decided to acclaim him king of the Jews at the entrance of Jerusalem which caused the reason why Jesus was arrested and taken to the cross with a verdict of insurrection aka INRI. (Luke 19:37-40)

The Jews crucified Jesus because of the miracles that he did.

When he raised Lazarus from the dead that was the turning point.

They were afraid that the people were going to make Jesus king and they would lose their place.
