This are the hours mentioned in the Gospels

3rd
6th
7th
9th
10th
11th
3rd of the night

It is obvious that it was possible to distinguish between one hour and the next. The accuracy was enough to know the difference between 6th and 7th, or 10th and 11th for example.

It is also clear that the hours refers to the daylight time of the day. When it refers to the night time it was clearly clarified in the text.

The sixth hour in John 19:14 is not the 5th, nor the 7th, it is the sixth hour minutes more, minutes less; and it was noon.

The sixth hour in Matthew 20:5; the sixth hour in John 4:6; and the sixth hour in Acts 10:9; are not the same event, but three different events in three different days, only that at the same hour of the day. It is something so obvious; but some shortminded do not understand it.

The sixth Hour is John 19:14 it is also a different event of the three above. While the sixth hour in Matthew 27:45; Mark 15:33 and Luke23:44 all three refers to the same event and time; but different from Matthew 20:5; John 4:6; Acts 10:9; and John 19:14.

We found 5 different days in wich something happened at the sixth hour:
Matthew 20:5
John 4:6
John 19:14
Matthew 27:45; Mark 15:33 and Luke23:44
Acts 10:9

(I feel little stupid myself having to explain something so obvious)

How would you measure what time is the sixth hour?

I believe Jesus was on the cross at least by the sixth hour, but that He was crucified by the third hour.

This is what I was meaning by shortminded and stupid.

twoo more LIES in interpreting John 19:14

1 - that is refers to midnigh, that it was the sixth hour of the night.
Whenever the NT refers to hours is the night it is said explicity: "hours of the night". In this case, it does not say "of the night" and it does not make sence being midnight.

2 - that time was not accurate, and then, a reference to the sixth hour can be something before the third hour. After all - the liers said - it is only 3 hours and the accuracy was not good.
That makes the Bible unaccurate, we can not trust in any of the hours or dates provided. But mainly it is not true. It was possible to know the difference between 2 consecutive hours.

Christians have fabricated too many lies in reference to the sixth hour in Jhon 19:14; not defending the truth by mean of lies, but defending the flase tradition in the base of lies.

Jesus was before Pilate a day by the sixth hour (noon) and later.
Jesus was already crucified (next day) by the third hour (9am)

Jesus was before Pilate a day by the sixth hour (noon) and later on a day.
Jesus was already crucified by the third hour (9am) next day.
Jesus was not crucified same day of his arrest.

This is what I was meaning by shortminded and stupid.

Being short minded and stupid is only considering hours but not watches!

There were always at least two watches and sometimes there were 4 watches (as in tides)

You need to start over at zero ;)

If what were minutely important were the exact day and the exact hour, then God would have said this day, this hour, this year, this century, etc.

However, what is important is that He did died and that He bodily rose from the dead.

Why did He died --- to take the punishment that all sinners deserve.

John 3:16 and John 3:36 proclaim that what we should all be doing is putting our trust in Him and what He did at the Cross of Calvary, which is the only way to get eternal life.

The exact day and the exact hour is not the way to eternal life.

Jesus was at pilate´s a day by noon, sixth hour
Jesus was crucified a day by 9am, third hour.

That is what God let us know by inspiration of the Holy Spirit concerning the day of the pasion of the Christ. THAT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTATN, otherwise, if it dosnt matter, then quite posting here

If Jesus was crucified at the 6th hour and at the 9th hour then it must have been the same day.

But it was not as you says, was not the same day.
