[h=2]Made Righteous by His Faithfulness/Obedience ![/h]
As the Surety of His People, His Sheep, His Suretyship obedience/faithfulness consiteth in these two regards for them #1 The debt they owed to perfect obedience to the law, precepts of God and #2 and the debt they owed to the violation of Gods Law, hence the suffering and penalty due.

Yes exactly ! Paul's Gospel teaches that because of Christ's Perfect Suretyship obedience / faithfulness Heb. 7:22 to God's Law and Justice on behalf of His People Mat. 1:21, His Sheep Chosen in Him Eph 1:4; God has imputed them with a Perfect Righteousness !

Rom. 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Christs death was a perfect redemptive work, hence He was brought from the dead, and all the members of His Body, His Church or His Sheep, whose sins He bare, they are freely Justified through that redemption which is in His Blood Rom 3:24

Amen Brother !

Christ's perfect Redemptive Work on behalf of all the Father had given Him John 10:29, His Death on their behalf John 10:11, 15, Eph. 5:25 completely accomplished their Justification according to God's Law and Justice; that is, total remission of sins Heb. 9:22. Therefore, Christ's Resurrection was proof that God's Law and Justice has been satisfied on behalf of them; being made Right with God Rom. 5:19b was proof of that fact, so that they were Legally Exonerated before Him even while they are being in a state of sinfulness; His enemies and in unbelief Rom. 5:9-10.

Rom. 8:33-34

33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

The Christian theology of the atonement was not devised until about 900 years after Jesus’ crucifixion. It was first devised by Anselm of Canterbury and became the doorway for the modern, substitutionary idea of Jesus shedding blood for the remission [atonement] of human sin.
Jesus believed in a God of mercy and “not sacrifice.”

As a Jew Jesus would have found a human blood sacrifice distasteful.

It brings many Sons to Glory !

Another accomplishment of the death of Christ, it brings many sons to Glory Heb 2:9-10

9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

10For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

Folks the every man here in this context who Christ tasted death for, are by that, being brought to Glory, that is every man He died for in each successive generation and from each ethnic group. If someone Christ died for doesn't be brought to eternal glory, something failed in His death, which of course can never be the case !

The design/purpose Christ dying for the Sins of the elect, was that they should be made the righteousness of God in Him 2 Cor 5:21. This is the free gift of righteousness Paul writes of here Rom 5:17-18. By this Christ is their Righteousness 1 Cor 1:30;Jer 33:16, all for whom He died are complete in Him. Its being a enemy to Christ to say people He died for arent made the righteousness of God in Him !

The satisfaction theory of atonement is a theory in Christian theology that Jesus Christ suffered crucifixion as a substitute for human sin, satisfying God's just wrath against humankind's transgression due to Christ's infinite merit.

The theory draws primarily from the works of Anselm of Canterbury, first worked out some 900 years after the crucifixion.

So True, every Elect of God or Sheep of Christ was made dead to sin by His Death on their behalf, which also accomplished the effectual working of the Spirit in them; giving them Spiritual Healing; New Life from spiritual death, making them Alive unto God, New Birth John 3:3.

Rom. 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen Brother !

All the sins that Elect sinners commit Rom. 8:33; past, present and future, shall never personally come under condemnation for them Rom. 8:1. For the condemnation that was actually accrued by them Rom. 5:18a while in a state of nature Eph. 2:2-3, was discharged from them and imputed to their Surety, Christ Jesus Heb. 7:22; Is. 53:6 and His Righteousness imputed to them Rom. 4:6; Jer. 33:16.

Rom. 5:8-10

8 But God commendeth his love toward us [Elect], in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

2 Cor. 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us [Elect], who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

They are Eternally Blessed !

The word purge; Gr. katharismos, in Heb. 1:3 means:

a cleansing from the guilt of sins wrought by the expiatory sacrifice of Christ.

It means they never had any sins charged against / imputed to them.

Is. 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

No sin was ever imputed to Christ's Sheep John 10:15 but laid on Him, their Head and Shepherd Is. 53:6 instead, which equals remission of sin !

Rom. 4:6-8

6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works, 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

One of the accomplishments of the death/blood of Christ unto all for whom He died, is that it makes us to serve the Living God; Heb 9:14

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

This purge of conscience from dead religious works [false religion] compatible with what Peter wrote 1 Pet 1:18 unto serving the True and Living God, is an efficacious effect of the Blood of Christ !

That word serve is the greek word latreuō and means:

I.
to serve for hire

II.
to serve, minister to, either to the gods or men and used alike of slaves and freemen
A.
in the NT, to render religious service or homage, to worship

B.
to perform sacred services, to offer gifts, to worship God in the observance of the rites instituted for his worship
i.
of priests, to officiate, to discharge the sacred office

Its the same word used here Rev 7:15

15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

Rev 22:3

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

Its the word worship here Acts 24:14

14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:

And note that this worship consisted in believing all things which are written in the law and prophets, which of course revealed Christ Lk 24:44

OT equivalent Deut 6:13

13 Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.

Deut 10:12

And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,

Josh 24:15

15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Phil 3:3

3 For we are the circumcision, which worship /serve God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

This what Paul refers to now, of worship/serve God in the Spirit, it is this which results solely from the Blood of Christ in Heb 9:14 !

And since we know that in order to serve God in such a way here, it takes a believing Faith Acts 24:14

14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:

The word for believing is the greek word pisteuó:

I believe, have faith in, trust in; pass: I am entrusted with.

pisteúō (from 4102 /pístis, "faith," derived from 3982 /peíthō, "persuade, be persuaded") – believe (affirm, have confidence); used of persuading oneself (= human believing) and with the sacred significance of being persuaded by the Lord (= faith-believing). Only the context indicates whether 4100 /pisteúō ("believe") is self-serving (without sacred meaning), or the believing that leads to/proceeds from God's inbirthing of faith.

This type of believing in serving and worshiping of the True God is a blessing that is efficaciously wrought into all for whom Christ shed His Blood, this cannot be refuted without serious blasphemy !

1 Cor 6:19-20

19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

No doubt these scriptures apply strictly to the believers in Christ, however, Just when were they bought with a Price ? Was it before or after they became believers ?

Before they became Believers !

All those Christ died for, His Sheep John 10:11,15; Chosen in union with Him of the Father Eph. 1:4-5 to have forgiveness of sins and Eternal Inheritance Eph. 1:7-11, were bought with the Price of His Precious Blood as the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world Rev. 13:8, according to the Eternal Purpose in Christ Eph. 3:11 before Creation; before they come to Believe in time.

Now it is Christ that sets us free from the servitude of sin symptomized by unbelief and dead works of false religion. So if one does not ever come to believe the Gospel, its because they are still being a servant of sin, and if and when they do come to embrace the Gospel, its the evidence that for them, Christ's death hath set them free, that is the effects of His death, it hath liberated them from service to sin, and God should be thanked for that as Paul writes here Rom 6:17

17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin or unbelievers, but ye have obeyed/believed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

Believing or obeying from the Heart the Gospel is something God should be thanked for ! Not mans idol freewill ! Believing the Doctrine of the Gospel is an act of obeying, as it is indicated here Rom 10:16

16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

Now the word obeyed in Rom 6:17 and here in Rom 10:16 are the same greek word hypakouō and means:

Paul says that if one obeyed, then God should be Thanked for that Rom 6:17.

The same would apply for Rom 10:9-10

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

That action if performed by us, God should be Thanked !

Antichrist followers would tell us that mans own freewill is responsible for believing from the heart the Doctrine of Christ and His finished work, which is a lie !

Take your pick, either God , Christ should get the Full credit for ones believing the Gospel, or mans freewill gets the credit, or even partial credit, but it cannot be both ! Remember, we must be first set free from the servitude of sin to become a believer ! Does Christ death effects that freedom, liberty or mans freewill ?

Amen Brother ! Christ's death alone set free all those He died for from the servitude of sin Rom. 6:6-7; and it's these same ones, because of their Eternal Union with Him Eph. 1:4, were Crucified Gal. 2:20 and quickened together with Him for their Eternal Justification Rom. 4:25 so that all the sins they would ever commit, were never laid to their charge but to Christ their Surety Heb. 7:22 in their stead Rom. 8:1. So it's because of His death on their behalf that they shall be given to believe on Him Phil. 1:29 by the Spirit Gal. 5:22 when they are Born Again John 3:3.

Now comparatively speaking, the natural man's [unregenerate] believing by his freewill accomplishes absolutely nothing in service to God, for it's merely a work of the flesh that cannot please Him Rom. 8:8; Is. 64:6 !

Um, no, that would be 1 Peter 3:18, which was written before 90 AD.

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, - 1 Peter 3:18 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1Peter3:18&version=NKJV
