The Atonement: What did it REALLY Accomplish?

His death must cause or give life !

1 Jn 4:9

9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

Contrary to what false teachers would tell us and have people to believe, that God through Christ offers to all and its up to each individual to either accept or not according to their so called freewill, which is nothing but fables and nonsense , in fact a flat out lie. The Truth is however that those God so Loved and gave His Only Begotten in behalf of, it was for the purpose of effecting or giving them Life, that they may live [Spiritually unto God] through or because of Him. Now understand something, if this Divine Objective is not effected, for each Person He died for, for each Person God so Loved Jn 3:16, then the purpose of Christ's death came to nought, it was defeated , which all false teachers are teaching when they tell us that some for whom Christ died can wind up in hell for their sins in unbelief like these Jn 8:24 !

Rom 5:11

11And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

The Atonement of Christ has reconciled the elect world to God. It secured and ensured for it [ the elect world] every spiritual blessing needed to live unto God and for His Glory through Jesus christ.

Even before the elect are born into this world as sinners, they have already [by the blood of Christ] been reconciled to God, it will now be a matter of time for it to be manifested.

The atonement accomplished the complete salvation for all whom it was offered for, that is the death of christ. It provides them Faith, repentance, sanctification, redemption, and every needful spiritual blessing to convert them to God, and remain secured forever.

You're right about the elect having blessings. And by extension, all the other Christians now and in the past are blessed as well, because of Christ's atonement. But "even before they are born" the elect have "already been reconciled to God"? Who told you that one?

The elect have to study the Scriptures just like anybody else and decide whether or not they believe Christ. They are not "elect" before they have done this and then decide to follow Christ. The "faith and repentance" are the person's responsibility. If he comes up with those things, he can be sanctified and redeemed, then endure to the end.

Did you read and understand the points I made in the post?

His death must cause or give life !2

Those Jesus Christ died for are purposed to live through or because of Him, because of Gods so great of Love for them. This Truth is confirmed in Eph 2:4-5

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved )

Because of His Great Love wherewith He so Loved us Jn 3:16, even as and when we were dead sinners, He quickened us [The church] togehter with Christ, meaning gave us Life. See that word quickened syzōopoieō means:

  1. to make one alive together
    1. to cause to live, make alive, give life

This is how and why we live through Him as stated in 1 Jn 4:9

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
Also lets read Peters Testimony of the same thing in 1 Pet 1:3

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

Thats because as Paul wrote " hath quickened us together with Christ" Eph 2:5 !

Now the word BY in 1 Pet 1:3 and the word through in 1 Jn 4:9, they're the same word, the prep dia which means:

      1. the ground or reason by which something is or is not done
        1. by reason of
        2. on account of
        3. because of for this reason
        4. therefore
        5. on this account

We Live [Spiritually] on account of Christ !

Amen to both parts!

Because the Elect had a Union with Christ Eph. 1:4 in His Death and Resurrection from the dead, they shall be quickened, or made Spiritually Alive, as evidence that they are One with Him, His Body: Christ Lives and they shall also Live Rom. 6:8, and so His Righteousness is also theirs Rom. 4:25, 8:10.

Think long on this;

The atonement accomplished the fact of redemption for all mankind by the enablement, by faith in the shed blood of Jesus, for reconciliation with God. Believe it or not. Believe it not and be left out.

False comments not found in scripture, and promoting salvation by works, by what a person does !

Are you going to show the scripture or not?

I gave you scripture. Get understanding from what read instead of living in denial just to protect your untoward religious bent. Redemption of the OT saints was a fact! There is an account that proves it. I gave it to you and asked you 2 questions you refuse to answer. Deal with with your willful stupidity. I'll have no more of you' unless you do!

No you didn't, try again.

"And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many."
Matthew 27:52-53 (KJV)

Jesus saved no one in that passage. He set them free from paradise to enter the presence of God.

Reconcile that passage with your perverse thinking about "elect or decreed" salvation. It can't be done.
